Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included

One day Shintaro Tokumitsu was just getting back from work, to find a girl sleeping on his balcony. She originally asks if she could stay with him, but he turns her down. It isn't until he sees her with a suspicious stranger that he allows her to stay with him to avoid her running into any trouble. To thank him for his kindness, Towa decides to cook and clean for him while he is away at school. However, when Towa shows up to his school bringing him lunch he starts to get nervous about people finding out that she is an angel. Will Shintaro be able to make this new arrangement work, without being found out?

I have mixed feelings about Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included. While it is a harem, the characters all get along, and nobody tries to beat up Shintaro for no reason. Shintaro also isn't completely dense. However, he is an incredible wimp who shy's away from anything that could be considered romantic. This completely ruins it from being a good romantic anime. A few examples are when Towa tries to feed him a meal she made, he stops her and asks for his own plate. When he has the chance to hold her hand after getting separated in public, he refuses to do so and instead holds onto her Yukata. He also almost turned down a free trip to the beach and hot springs for no reason. In all honesty it was Lily who carried the show in my opinion. Multiple times I was reminded of The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You, which by the way is far better in my opinion, because Rentarou actually has the courage to get things done. Date A Live is also a better alternative as far as harems go. So it had the potential to be really good, but failed because Shintaro wasn't willing to do anything. I want to say The Dangers In My Heart was better, because while Kyoutaro is shy, he doesn't refuse to do things with Anna, and becomes closer because of it. However, The Dangers In My Heart isn't a Harem. Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included does have a bath scene, a hot springs scene, a beach episode, as well as other moments where Shintaro accidentally sees girls in their underwear. So while I was unsatisfied with Shintaro, the show overall had a good feeling, and is worth seeing. Thanks to Lily it had a number of funny moments which made watching it worth it.
