The more Lamplight goes on missions, the more they come to realize that they all lack a skill essential to being a spy. They all lack ruthlessness. Monika knows that that is going to become their downfall and brings it to the attention of Thea who despite her warning wants to help an imperial spy who is the enemy of the republic. However, this spy claims to be the mother of Annette. Annette has received the code name Forgetter, because she has amnesia. She doesn't remember anything except for the last four years. While her memories of her mother are missing, she still feels like she knows Matilda and accepts her requests to spend time together. Seeing them together causes Thea to turn a blind eye to her being a spy because she wants Annette to be happy. Will things actually go that smoothly though?
I thought Spy Classroom Season 2 was great. I loved Annette in Season 1, but as I learned more about her it made me love her even more. Rather than training like they did in season 1, Lamplight spends most of season 2 going on missions and solving mysteries. The majority of the season stays clean, but there is a pool scene where the girls are in swimsuits. There is quite a bit of swearing as well. While season 1 reminded me of Assassination Classroom, this season felt more like The eminence in shadow if the focus was on the girls and you took away magic. Overall, I would definitely suggest giving it a try.
