Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Season 2

LLENN is back doing her third Squad Jam. This time she is teaming up with Pitohui rather than fighting against her. The new course has some elements that completely change the game such as the board slowly shrinking by holding it on an island that is being consumed by the water. This forces the teams to move if they don't want to die. Though from the start there are mysteries and hidden rules that won't be revealed till the end. Will LLENN and her friends be able to Survive?

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Season 2 was way better than I was expecting. I liked how they didn't focus on just LLENN's team and showed how things were going for the other teams as well. There are a few scenes where you see the main Goushi Asougi shirtless, as well as some swearing here and there. However, I would definitely still suggest it, especially if you enjoyed season 1.

LOVE FLOPS

Asahi Kashiwagi wakes up one day and hears a fortune telller tell him that he will have many interesting encounters that day. He isn't convinced and continues on with his day. However, one by one things start to turn out just as the fortune teller had foretold. He runs into five girls who all transfer to his same school. After the school day is done he goes home to find out that the five girls are actually moving in with him, and it was all arranged for him by his father who tells him that these five are potential partners for him. While Asahi doesn't want to accept this situation, he lets the girls stay with him.

LOVE FLOPS was an interesting anime. While it wasn't my favorite, I still enjoyed it. It kind of felt like somebody tried to copy Date A Live but failed to capture what truly makes Date A Live great. It honestly reminded me of a lot of different anime's. It reminded me of ones like Sword Art Online, Date A Live, Nakaimo, Infinite Stratos,  and Liar, Liar. In other words it was a harem anime that had a unique twist to it. There is some swearing, and since it is an ecchi anime, there is a bath scene, a hot spring episode, and a beach episode. If you don't mind the ecchi genre, I think you should give it a try.

Shangri-La Frontier Season 2

In order to use the equipment Sunraku, Oikatzo, and Arthur Pencilgon got from defeating Wethermon they need a blacksmith that can fix divinity age weapons. Bilac says that only an Ancient Blacksmith is able to work with things from the divinity age. so Sunraku hatches a plan to turn Bilac into an Ancient Blacksmith. However, on his way to do that, Oikatzo and Arthur Pencilgon follow him to an ancient facility that is guarded by golems. Will they be able to defeat their enemies and find the Magical Operations Unit required to turn Bilac from a regular Blacksmith to an Ancient Blacksmith?

I really enjoyed Shangri-La Frontier Season 2. New Characters are introduced as well as old ones from the first season start becoming more involved. There is minimal swearing throughout the season and everybody dresses modestly. If you want a good fantasy anime, I would suggest giving this one a try.

Seven Mortal Sins

After falling from Heaven, Lucifer ends up in the ninth ring of hell, Cocyutus. It is there she meets the Demon Lord of Envy, Leviathan. Leviathan instantly takes a liking to lucifer and tells her about the demon lords who rule over hell known as the seven Mortal Sins. Lucifer approaches them confident that she's stronger than all of them, but rather than beating them her wings are cut off and she turns into a demon Lord herself. Rather than let this get her down she heads to Earth along with Leviathan where they meet a human named Maria. They rent out a place on Earth, but that night Lucifer learns that she has been cursed, and the only way to lift the curse is to defeat every one of the Seven Mortal Sins.

Seven Mortal Sins was interesting. I really liked how fighting the mortal sins wasn't just physical. For example When Lucifer fights the Demon Lord of Sloth her goal is to beat a video game. When She fights the Demon Lord of Melancholy she does it by becoming a music artist and seeing who can get more follows on their videos. My Favorite Character has to be The Demon Lord of Gluttony though. She's so small and nice. As you can probably tell from the photo there is a lot of ecchi content. This is an anime where I think they could have done a good job without the girls clothes exploding almost every episode. So if you decide to watch it be aware that its uncensored.

Teekyuu Season 3

The girls walk home during a rainy day. They try to find a way to all get home dry. Someone suggest spreading Yuri out super thin so that they can all be covered. In the end they all get drenched and stay at Kanae's house where the power goes out. Nasuno gets approached by thugs and is saved by a boy named Yota. The girls also learn that a cake shop is deeply in debt and they try to help by creating different cakes of their own.

Teekyuu Season 3 was just as chaotic as Seasons 1 and 2. I did laugh super hard during this season though. In the end of the anime the girls study for a test and Kanae does her best to teach them. But her method of doing so is hilarious, especially the math problems she gives them. There is a bath scene but its brief in episode two. Besides that the anime stays clean in both visuals and language. If you liked seasons 1 and 2 I would suggest giving Season 3 a try.

Quality Assurance in Another World

Nikola has grown up in a village, but feels unfulfilled. That is until she meets a man named Makoto Haga. She learns that he is a Kings Seeker, and wants to become one too. However, after her village is overrun by monsters she loses her life. Makoto leaves and wishes he could have saved them. As he is sitting by the fire Nikola appears before him, but it is not Nikola in the body but a meta AI named Tesla. She tells Makoto that their are a lot of debuggers or Kings Seekers who are abusing their power which is causing more bugs to appear. So Tesla asks that whenever he happens to find a debugger who is abusing their power that he take their debugger stone and give it to her. Tons of debuggers have been trapped in this world with no way to log out. Will Makoto be able to fix this world by himself?

Quality Assurance in Another World was slow at first but it got better the farther I got into it.While the trapped in a game world has been already done, the world the characters are in feels completely different from other game anime's. The most noticeable difference is the monsters. However, The characters use bugs in the game to their advantage which I don't really feel like has been done before. You could say it is done a little in Shangri-la Frontier, but it wasn't a big part of it. There is a bath scene, but besides that the anime stays clean. If you are looking for a game anime that feels different, I would suggest giving this one a try.

THE NEW GATE

THE NEW GATE was a new VRMMORPG that was made available all across the globe. However, one day it turned into a death game trapping everyone inside, with no way to log out. Shin managed to beat the final boss and everyone logged out safely. But just before he was about to log out himself a door opened behind him. After walking through it Shin finds himself five hundred years into the future after everyone has left. With a Little Searching he learns that the NPC's in the game have all gained a sense of self and retain their memories from their time in the game. Will Shin be able to live the kind of life he did during the game, or will the five hundred years worth of changes cause him to rethink that?

I never thought that I would say this about an anime, but THE NEW GATE was mid. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. It might sound like a Sword Art Online copy cat, but it reminds me more of In the Land of Leadale. You don't see anything of the death game except for the first 4 minutes of episode 1. There are some things that I had an issue with like how Shin complains that he can't use his full power. He obviously has the option to but at the same time wants to avoid the attention it will bring him. He also has a familiar which is a fox. She has the option to turn into a human but shin tells her not to. I honestly wish she took her human form more often than she does. This obviously is not relevant to the story and is just my opinion. There also was nothing that made me want to rewatch it, but it wasn't a pain to get through each episode like it was in Unnamed Memory. The season stayed mostly clean except for the second princess who always has her cleavage showing. There is a part where her clothes get ripped after fighting a monster and a large majority of her body is revealed. The language is clean as well. Overall, I think it is worth giving a try if you like anime with a focus on adventuring. I feel like you will know near the beginning if you are going to like it or not.

Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld (Season 4) Part 2

Just as things are looking bleak, with The Human Empire army completely surrounded Sinon appears. Using an administrative account by one of the creators of the Underworld she thins out the ranks of the army supporting Poh. Meanwhile Leafa appears before one of the ten commanders of the Dark Territory Army. He is feeling down because not only has he been discriminated against by the beings within the Dark Territory, but has just watched as thousands of members of his clan were sacrificed along with his love.  However, Leafa treats him no different than anyone else. Right after she had cheered him up the commander of the Dark Mages who sacrificed his people appears and attacks Leafa. Can Kirito's friends bring him back to his senses and stop the war?

Sword Art Online - War of Underworld Part 2 was pretty fun to watch. While it continued the war from Season 4 Part 1 it feels completely different. It remained mostly clean except for the part where Leafa is attacked by the Commander. The Dark Mage commander uses magic to replicate something akin to vines that wrap around Leafa and suck away her energy. The language remained clean throughout it which was nice. Overall if you watched the first part of Season 4 you should watch the 2nd Part as well. It kind of drags on partway through, but the beginning and ending are super good.

Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld (Season 4)

After defeating Quinella the Administrator Alice and Kirito went back to their childhood home in Rulid Village. However, believing that Alice is still a criminal the village elder refuses to let them live there. They are permitted to live just outside the village though. One day Alice's apprentice Eldrie arrives in Rulid and tells them that war is coming. While Kirito desires to fight as well, he unfortunately lost his ability to speak, move, and convey emotions. Nevertheless, Alice is determined to keep him safe before anyone else. Will he be able to recover and save the people of the underworld?

Sword Art Online Season 4 was completely different from all the previous seasons. Previously each season had many battles that would all last less than an episode. However, War of the Underworld is one continuous battle, which I think is cool. The characters all dress modestly. There is a lot of swearing though.

Sword Art Online: Alicization (Season 3)

After getting injected with the poison that Death Gun used by Johnny Black, Kirito wakes up in a world that he had been before, but completely forgotten. There he meets a boy named Eugeo who for the past seven years has been chopping away at a tree called the Gigas Ceder also known as The Demon Tree. This tree is as hard as steel and generations of people have cut at it everyday for the last three hundred years. Because Kirito doesn't know anything about this new world Eugeo believes that his memory was erased by the god Vecta. Knowing that his story won't be believed if Kirito goes to the nearest village alone, Eugeo offers to go with him. But it isn't just Kirito who has lost his memory. Will the Eugeo and Kirito be able to find out whats causing people to lose their memories and put a stop to it?

Sword Art Online: Alicization was pretty interesting. It starts out with him in the new world so I was confused at first, but they do a good job of explaining what's going on. There are a few parts that are immodest. In episode ten two girls are attacked and have part of their clothes ripped exposing their skin, in episodes twenty through twenty four Eugeo and Kirito fight a woman who is completely naked. There is also a scene where the male knight commander is taking a bath right before he fights Eugeo, but you only see his back exposed. All in all it was a cool experience to see kirito live and grow in a place that seems more real than the previous games he has played. In this world the characters aren't simple NPC's. Each character has goals and a history. If you liked the first two seasons I would highly suggest this.

Sword Art Online Season 2

Gun Gale Online is a new world created from the seed that was given to Kirito from Kayaba Akihito. It is also the only game that allows you to exchange the in game currency for real money. After some people got cocky a player known as Death Gun appears in a room where a screen is showing two of Gun Gale's professional players being interviewed. After a comment about how players who followed advice he gave previously are inferior, Death Gun shoots the screen and the man being interviewed dies in real life. This got the attention of the government. The man who Kirito approached from internal affairs to learn Asuna's Location after they all woke up comes to him asking if people could really be killed by shooting a gun shot in a game. Kirito doesn't want to believe it, but agrees to check it out after he's told the government will pay him to go inside Gun Gale Online and find out more about Death Gun. After converting his character, Kirito meets a girl named Sinon who helps show him around, pick his weapons and armor, as well as helps him to sign up for a Battle Royale called Bullet of Bullets. But will this be enough to draw Death Gun out into the open?

The first three fourths of this season is super super good. However, it became harder to watch around episode nineteen for me. Asuna's mom was super annoying. We already had a fiasco when Asuna's Dad tried to set her up with a guy, now her mom is trying to do the same thing. Not only that, but she tries to separate Asuna from her friends without listening to how Asuna feels about it. I do believe that it is absolutely worth watching though. There are only a few inappropriate parts throughout the season. there is a scene where you see Sinon in her bra as she changes into her battle armor, and there is a short bath scene with Asuna in it. Besides that the season is clean. If you liked the first season I would give this one a shot as well.

Sword Art Online

During the year of 2022 the company Argus released a full dive VRMMORPG called Sword Art Online. Only 10,000 copies were sold. Everyone was super excited to experience this new world that was given to them. That is until they learned that nobody could log out. The creator of the Game Kayaba Akihiko let the world know that this was not a mistake and that if the nervegear used to play the game is taken off the player, or the player dies in the game, they will also die in real life. The only way out is to beat all 100 floors of the floating castle Aincrad. Until then they must do whatever they can to survive. Will everybody be able to make it back home safe?

Sword art online was pretty good. A lot of people don't know this but Sword Art Online Season 1 includes both the Aincrad Arc and the Alfheim Arc. There are a few scenes where you see girls in their underwear, a bath scene around episode eighteen, then in episode twenty four you see the villain Sugou rip Asuna's clothes, thou you only get a glimpse of her body. The language stays pretty clean throughout the season. If you don't like fan service you can skip this, but if you like Isekai and VRMMO anime's I would give it a try.

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online

Karen Kohiruimaki has always been self conscious about how tall she is. So in order to get away from it she decides to buy an amusphere and find a game where she can get a cute character. After going through many different games she finally finds a character that she loves and names her Llenn. The game that she ended up in was Gun Gale Online. Not long after she finishes the tutorial and gets some shooting practice in the desert, she meets another female player named Pitohui. After spending time with Pito, news about a new competition called Squad Jam comes up. While Pito can't compete on the day of the competition, she has her friend M fill in for her and team up with Llenn. While Pito hopes they will win, do they actually have what it takes to be the best?

I really liked this series. Fuka kind of reminds me of Sally from Bofuri: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, So I'll Max Out My Defense. While it was different from Sword Art Online Season 2. it still was pretty intense. The anime stays pretty clean except for a short clip where Karen is talking to her friend Miyu while she is in the bath. There is some swearing, but the language stays clean for the majority of it. Overall, I believe it was worth watching. If you liked Sword Art Online I would give it a try.

Shangri-La Frontier

The world is full of games the most popular of which is the Full Dive MMORPG Shangri-La Frontier. The ones that tend to get overlooked are known as trash games. Rakurou Hizutome is known as the trash game hunter because he spends his time trying to defeat the games most people would rather ignore. After defeating a difficult trash game called Faeria Chronicle Online a store owner suggest he try playing Shangri-La Frontier which already has thirty million players around the world after only being out for a year. Despite it not being a trash game Rakurou decides to give it a try. He creates a character named Sunraku, that goes around wearing a bird mask. However, rather than going to the beginning town like everyone else, Sunraku starts out in the forest and skips it entirely, heading straight for the second town which is guarded by a poisonous snake. While Sunraku is able to beat it he gets covered in poison before the monster vanishes. Will he have the HP to get to the second town before he dies?

Shangri-La Frontier was way better than I was expecting. Some people say the MMORPG anime genre is overdone. However, this one was pretty well received from what I could tell. I really liked it because it felt completely different from other MMORPG anime like Sword Art Online and Full Dive. While some might take issue of the main character walking around shirtless the entire anime, I felt it was a lot cleaner than most anime out there. It does swear pretty often though. So if you aren't a fan of language that is something to be aware of. Overall, I would highly suggest it. It's pretty funny as well as entertaining. The world building is incredible as well.

A Playthrough of a Certain Dude's VRMMO Life

After hearing about a new VRMMORPG called "One More Life Online" our main character decides to start not as your typical overpowered main character, but by choosing the skills seen as weak and not necessary. However, while his intention was to blend into the background, this unique play style draws more attention to him. Once people see how useful his crafting skills are many other players begin to craft as well. This involves not only items like potions and weapons, but also cooking as well. By helping people out he gets to know fun players like the blue color guild as well as NPC's like the fairy queen.

A Playthrough of a Certain Dude's VRMMO Life was really wild. It has a similar vibe to Sword Art Online if Lisbeth was the main character. This gives it a really relaxing feeling compared to the intense feeling you get from action focused fantasy anime's like SAO and Overlord. Everybody dresses modestly in the anime. The language is clean as well. Overall if you are wanting to get into fantasy anime this is a great one to start off with. I would definitely suggest it to anyone wondering if it is worth watching.

And you thought there is never a girl online?

Hideki Nishimura had just about given up on love after being rejected by a female character named nekohime who was actually a guy in real life. Then a player named Ako confesses her love to Nishimura known as Rusian in the MMO game Legendary Age. It isn't until Ako had asked Rusian ten times till he gives in and agrees to be her husband in the game. He tells his guild mates about the experience and said that even though he accepted he still believes Ako is a guy in real life. So the guild leader named Master tells them that they should have a meeting in real life. Rusian is surprised when he finds out that everyone in the Alley Cats guild were actually girls in real life, even though they had been playing as male characters. They even all attend the same school. Though they learn very quickly that Ako Tomaki who had married Nishimura in the game can't tell the difference between what's real and whats in the game. This causes problems as she calls her guildmates by their game names and not by their actual names, as well as believes that her and Nishimura are actually married in real life. Will The Alley Cats be able to help Ako differentiate whats real and whats not?

And you thought there is never a girl online is pretty similar to Recovery of an MMO Junkie and My Love Story with Yamada at Level 999. However, it has a different feeling to it since it is only about high schoolers, and I feel like both Recovery of an MMO Junkie and Loving Yamada at Level 999 focus mainly on the male and female leads while And you thought there was never a girl online has a heavier focus on the entire guild. Though I feel like focusing on the group is a nice change. There are a few bath scenes, as well as a beach episode. So you do see the girls of the Alley Cats guild in their swimsuits. There is no swearing which I think is good. Overall I think it is worth a watch if you like VRMMO and slice of life type anime's.

Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life!

After ruining his chances to make it in the running world, Hiro Yuki decides to get into VRMMO games. After being tricked into buying a ten year old game instead of the new one he wanted, Hiro decides to give it a try. Before the game starts a goddess tells him that he is a hero and he needs leave the town and defeat the demon lord. Hiro is then transported into a house with the NPC's who are his best friend Martin and his childhood friend Alicia. After they ask him to go and pick apples with them he tells them that he needs to leave the city. This causes Martin to think Hiro is crazy and tackles him. to celebrate his victory Martin picks up an apple slice with a knife and eats it. It is at that moment that Hiro pushes Martin and kills him. This makes the entire city come after him eventually putting him in jail. Will Hiro be able to beat the game with everything going wrong?

Full Dive was interesting. It was kind of like The Rising of the Shield Hero with how everybody keeps betraying him. However, Hiro doesn't become a jerk like Naofumi does. He complains a lot, but that's about as far as he goes. While this is labeled as an ecchi anime on Anilist.co it's hard to call it that after watching things like peter grill, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World, and My Life as Inukai-san's Dog. There are a few things to note though, like how Hiro imagines Reona taking a bath, and Mizarisa stripping into her bikini like outfit. Hiro also touches Alicia's chest to try and get out of a precarious situation. There is also multiple comments made about Reona's body. There is also a lot of swearing throughout the show, which is kind of expected since there is a swear word in the title. Overall I enjoyed it. While it's not the best Isekai out there, I think it is still worth a try if you are looking for an isekai and don't know what to choose.

BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. Season 2

Maple and the Members of Maple Tree are back. New levels are created as well as more competitions. However, Unlike last season most of the competitions are focused on working together rather than fighting against each other. While Each player tries their hardest there are still some things that can't be done without a little teamwork. Watch as the members of Maple Tree, Order of the Holy Sword, and Flame Emperors continue to get closer to one another.

I really liked this season because all the main characters are further developed which makes them seem more real.  While the characters are overpowered you get to see their weaknesses as well. It does follow the same pattern as last season but the ideas are completely different as far as the concepts for the levels and competitions go. It only swears around three times. The clothing stays modest except for when Kasumi uses a certain sword which changes her outfit. I would still give it a watch if you liked the first season or if you like Isekai and haven't seen it, I would suggest watching the first season as well.

Seven Senses of the Re'Union

When he was in elementary school Haruto Amo played the MMO game Union with his friends. However, after his friend Asahi dies the guild known as Subaru falls apart and Union was shut down. Haruto didn't touch video games again until he gets a call from someone he knows telling him that a new version of Union has come out called Reunion. Reluctantly Haruto logs on with his old information to help with a quest. When they reach the end they find a chest and fearing it might be a trap they ask Haruto to open it. What he finds is more surprising than any trap he could have run into. Asahi pops out of the chest with no memory of the past six years. Will Haruto be able to solve the mystery of how Asahi is still alive?

I have mixed feelings about Seven Senses of the Reunion. I am really glad to have found another Adventuring anime, and the action and story is really well done in my opinion. However, this seemed to be more emotional than your usual isekai anime. That made it harder to watch for me. It bears a shocking resemblance to Anohana: The flower we saw that day. However, it has a much more satisfying ending than Anohana did in my opinion. It does swear a little bit in each episode. There is a scene where you see Satsuki and Asahi in bathing suits when they are on the beach waiting for a quest. There is also a part where Asahi falls in the river and takes off her clothes, but Haruto hides her so you don't see anything. The only other thing is that you see Nozomi wearing a revealing outfit in the last episode for a few minutes. I would definitely suggest it if you are looking for something different than your usual isekai anime. It has a lot of depth which I think is good.

Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION

The majority of Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION is basically a recap of the first season of the show. There is a bit of a new story where Kirito and his friends accept an underwater quest because Yui had said that she would like to ride a whale. The quest ends up being incredibly simple grab a pearl from the inside of an abandoned ruin type building where thieves have taken it.

The Movie wasn't bad. However, in my personal opinion I am not a fan of movies that are mainly clips from the show. It only swears once or twice, however, the majority of the movie has the girls in swimsuits as they are teaching Suguha to swim while Kirito explains what happened in SAO and ALO. You also see Asuna in her underwear as well as with her clothes ripped apart as it is recapping events from the first season. So if you are not a fan of fan service I would say to avoid this one since it doesn't really add anything to the series.

The Daily Life of a Part-time Torturer

In this world it is legal to torture people, and it has become a well known industry. The torture firm Spirytus consists of Sero and Siu who...
