Cosmic Princess Kaguya!

Iroha Sakayori is the perfect honor student. She excels at everything she puts her mind to. However, in order to pay for her house and save money for college, she works extremely hard, leaving her with hardly any time to focus on her hobbies. Her few sources of enjoyment are playing virtual reality games and listening to the virtual idol Yachiyo sing.

One day, after finishing work, Iroha sees a shooting star. She makes a wish for more money and then heads home. When she arrives on the street where her house is located, she sees a streetlamp glowing. As she approaches it, two bamboo handles appear, and when it opens, Iroha sees a baby. Afraid of leaving it on the street, she takes it home with her.

Over the course of a weekend, the baby, Kaguya, grows into a teenager. Iroha introduces Kaguya to the world of VR, and they play her favorite game, Tsukiyome. After seeing the virtual idol Yachiyo, Kaguya decides to become a streamer herself. She becomes popular by singing the songs that Iroha writes. However, her newfound popularity may be just a fleeting dream. Not only does she draw the eyes of many fans, but also those who seek to take away the freedom that Kaguya longs to have. Will Iroha have the power to save her new friend?

Cosmic Princess Kaguya was a complete surprise to me. I had read a brief summary of the story of the bamboo cutter a day or two ago, so I understood the story that inspired the movie. I also knew that it took place in the virtual world and included music from posts and summaries I had read online prior to watching it. However, the movie gives the old story a modern take in a way that I wouldn't have predicted. It feels kind of like Seven Senses of the Reunion and Shangri-La Frontier. However, that's only in terms of the fighting style and digital-world aspect. The story is completely different from those two anime in every way.

After an hour and twenty minutes of watching, I was convinced the movie was over based on the events that had played out. But I paused it, only to find out that there was still over an hour left of the movie. It was really good, but it was a bit longer than I was expecting. The entire thing was wholesome. There were no lewd scenes or swearing. I would definitely suggest giving it a try if you enjoy music anime and virtual reality anime.

The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King

Serafina de Lavillant has trained her whole life to become the perfect knight. After being made knight captain of the first order she goes on an expedition to subdue the barbarians who live to the east of the kingdom of Illdoren. While she is in battle, she gets overpowered by a man and is taken captive. She wakes up and is greeted by a young woman named Cersei who helps make her presentable. Then the man who bested Serafina in battle comes in and proposes to her. While Serfina is hesitant to accept right away, will seeing the barbarians way of life change her mind and heart?

The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King was really good. It felt different from a lot of romance anime that take place in fantasy settings. I feel like a lot of fantasy romance follow the same formula of the girl getting dumped by a prince and then she finds a better man who treats her right. I actually enjoy that type of romance, so its not a big deal if its repeated for me. However, it was nice to see a romance that doesn't follow the usual formula and is more about getting to know each other while finding out what happiness means for yourself, rather than getting married for politcal reasons, which is how the formula anime usual go. It did have a lot more nudity than I was expecting. While the anime is censored to a degree, it was a little too much for me. There were a lot of bathing in rivers or hot spring scenes, which i don't believe all needed to be there. If lewd scenes here and there don't bother you I think The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King is worth giving a try.

Squid Girl OVA

one of the Three Stooges breaks their nintendo console after accidentally dropping it on the floor. So they decide to make a new console that won't break no matter how hard you throw it, along with games to play on it. They give their inventions to Squid Girl and Eiko to try out. Eiko gets Jealous of Chizuru and Squid Girl since Ayumi is able to talk to them easily. When Ayumi says the reason she can talk to them so easily is because they're not human, Chizuru tries everything in her power to be seen as a normal girl. Squid Girl plays hide and seek inside the house in hopes of surprising Eiko, Chizuru, and Takeru with her hiding skills. However, she is found by Takeru early on, who then joins in on her game of hide and seek. After seeing their shoes are still in the house Chizuru catches on to Squid Girl's plans, and is able to lure her out of hiding with food.

Squid Girl OVA was pretty fun to watch. Usually OVA's feel pretty removed from the main series, but these just felt like additional content to the story. Like the rest of the series most people are dressed in swimsuits since the setting is a restaurant at the beach. While usually it doesn't feel lewd because of the setting, the end of the third episode does feel a bit more fan service heavy than usual, even if it's only for a few minutes. If you enjoyed the rest of the show I would definitely suggest giving it a try as it keeps the same vibe as the main series.

Squid Girl Season 2

Squid girl is back at the Lemon. Squid Girl is working like usual when Eiko brings up that she hasn't accomplished anything in her quest to conquer humanity. This fires her up even more to do everything she can to conquer the surface world. Meanwhile Sanae sees Squid Girl hanging out with Kiyomi and believes that they are both rivals fighting for squid girls attention. One day Squid Girl is helping clean up the beach when she sees Goro taking jellyfish out of the ocean. She challenges him to see who can gather the most jellyfish. Chizuru overhears and turns it into a competition involving everyone at the beach with real prizes for the winners of the competition.

Squid Girl Season 2 was just as good as season 1. Since the entire anime takes place on the beach, there are characters in swimsuits in every episode. This might be considered as a lewd scene to some, but it seems unavoidable given the setting. If you enjoyed Season 1, I would definitely suggest giving Season 2 a try as well.

My Hero Academia: I am a hero too

Eri goes to see Deku to congratulate him on his comeback as a hero, however, he isn't in the Teacher's Office at U.A. High. She is met by Eraser Head, Present Mic, and All Might. After letting her know that Deku has gone home, they turn on the TV which plays a news channel talking about how Deku has risen in the Hero Rankings and how his presence continues to be a positive influence on others. Before she leaves, the teachers mention that Deku will be at Eri's debut concert and that she can congratulate him then. The episode then shows the concert that Eri is performing with her band and the citizens and Heroes who are watching and listening.

My Hero Academia: I am a hero too was great. Even though this special was only 6 minutes long, it still was able to bring tears to my eyes as Eri sang. My Hero Academia is one of a few anime that holds a special place in my heart. I didn't mention this in my previous reviews, but when I finished My Hero Academia Season 8 I had the thought that I will never be able to view other anime the same way again. This special reminded me of how much My Hero Academia has impacted me the last two months. If you have finished all 8 seasons along with the My Hero Academia: More episode, I would definitely suggest giving this a try as well.

My Hero Academia More

Lately, Uravity has been having dreams of Himiko Toga, and wonders if she's a vestige like One For All. She can tell that Himiko is trying to send her a message, but doesn't really know what it is. She lets Froppy know what's going on, but they can't find a definitive answer. Meanwhile Deku, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight, and Red Riot all drive to a gathering to celebrate Shoto Todoroki becoming the #2 Hero. They all talk about how their lives are going as they drive and Deku mentions that everyone is special to him. Bakugo gives him a piece of advice that is sure to change his life forever. He tells him that he should value himself more and if he doesn't he may miss something important. Also that if he keeps saying that everyone is special to him, that really means no one is. While Deku didn't understand in the car, it all clicks during Todoroki's celebration.

My Hero Academia More was definitely worth the watch. Another episode that makes me glad I didn't start this series until after everything was out. It was cool to see everyone all grown up. I didn't think that I would get to see that as I was watching Season 8. While I wish that the story would continue, I'm also satisfied with this ending.  There are no lewd scenes in this episode. I would suggest giving it a try if you enjoyed the previous eight seasons.

My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON (Season 8)

In an attempt to stall All For One from reaching Deku and Shigaraki, All Might uses a battlesuit to reverse his age by damaging him. However, All Might can only hold him off for so long. Eventually his equipment breaks, and he is left at the mercy of All For One. But, all hope isn't lost. So long as there are villains, there will always be heroes to intercept them. The only question is, will they make it in time before All Might is killed?

My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON was super good. It picks up right where Season 7 left off. The ending was different from what I was led to believe, though I did predict Deku's future correctly. I am disappointed that the series is over, but I know this is definitely an anime I will be rewatching. There are no lewd scenes in this season. I would definitely suggest giving it a try if you enjoyed the previous seasons of My Hero Academia.

My Hero Academia: You’re Next (Movie 4)

The Heroes of Class 1-A are traveling the streets searching for and capturing the criminals that All For One released from prison. While they chase after a man with a hostage, a man who bears a strong resemblance to All Might appears on a flying ship. After seeing All Might's final battle with All For One  he believes that he is the new symbol of peace when All Might pointed and said "Now, it's your turn." He then uses his quirk to swallow up citizens, heroes, and buildings which make the size of his ship grow exponentially bigger. He plans to use it to crush U. A. High School, and take away the current heroes so that a new society can begin, with him as the new #1 Hero. Meanwhile He uses the people inside of his ship that he absorbed as test subjects to gain even more power. Will Class 1-A be able to beat such an intimidating villain?

My Hero Academia: You're Next was super good. The final fight with Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki was amazing. However, My favorite movie is still Heroes Rising. This movie should be watched right after the Star and Stripe Arc, between Season 7 episode 2 & 3. There are multiple things that lead me to believe this takes place in the spare week that Star gave them. Like Principal Nezu saying that U.A needs to be used to fight Shigaraki, as well as the fact that nobody was injured yet. The Movie is free of any Lewd scenes. I would definitely suggest giving it a watch if you have gotten to Season 7 of the main series.

My Hero Academia Season 7

War is on the horizon, and due to Tomura Shigaraki's previous attack, the number of heroes are slim. All Might requests help from various countries hoping that other nation's heroes will aid them in the danger that is soon to arrive. While Many countries prioritize preventing crime happening domestically, the number 1 hero from the United States of America, Star and Stripe, flies over to help Japan along with a squad of jet fighters. Before they can make it to Japan, Tomura Shigaraki meets them in the sky. They have no choice but to battle then and there. At first Star and Stripe is able to capture Tomura using her quirk. However, as he figures out how it works, he is able to avoid being beaten, and ultimately steals star's ability. But just before he steals it, star arranges for the quirk to destroy him from the inside by attacking any quirk it comes in contact with. The war is set back a week so that Tomura has time to recover. Will this extra time be enough for the heroes to gather their strength and fight back?

My Hero Academia Season 7 was super good. I often dislike how American's are portrayed in anime, but I really like how they did it in my Hero Academia. There is an insane amount of fighting. I am so grateful that I didn't start this series until after all the seasons had come out, because it ended the same as Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 and The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen Season 2. You can tell that a big fight is about to happen, but it just ends. I really grew to love Himiko Toga and Ochaco Uraraka during this season. I already did like them from the beginning, but I love them even more now. I also cried a little bit during their fight. This Season is mostly free of lewd scenes, but there is an episode where you see Toga naked as she's processing things internally. Though it was brief, it was a little too much for me. If you enjoyed all the other seasons so far, I would definitely suggest giving this season a try.

My Hero Academia UA BATTLE HEROES

During winter break, The students of class 1-A are all stuck inside the dorms due to precautions to keep them safe from The League of Villains. Not knowing what to do, They start talking about a festival that had been hosted by U.A. High School in the past. Just then Mirio Togata comes in with a card game for them to play created by the support course students. The cards all have the students of class 1-A on them along with special cards that have professional heroes on them. When put on a special board, holograms show up and the two players can simulate a battle between the characters on their cards as if it was happening in real life.

My Hero Academia UA BATTLE HEROES was super fun to watch. I had actually seen an Instagram reel of this episode beforehand, but the dialogue and series of events was not accurate to what actually happened in the real episode, likely because it had been voiced over to be less serious and more funny. There are no lewd scenes. I think this is probably my favorite OVA yet. It takes place right after the end of season 6. I would definitely suggest giving it a try if you like the main series.

My Hero Academia Season 6

The Heroes decide to attack The Paranormal Liberation Front that Hawks has been investigating. They send all the heroes in Japan to two separate locations. One is the hospital where Doctor Garaki works and creates the Nomu, while the other is the base of The Paranormal Liberation Front. They had planned to attack while Tomura Shigaraki was asleep, but as they destroyed the Hospital's hidden Lab where Garaki performed his experiments, They ended up Waking Tomura. While it was still two months before he was supposed to awaken, The power of his Decay Quirk had grown exponentially, as well as the strength of his body. By just touching the ground, Tomura Shigaraki decimated an entire city. Will the Heroes be able to capture him before it's too late?

My Hero Academia Season 6 was incredible. The destruction caused by The Paranormal Liberation Front was unlike anything that had happened previously. You also get to see Deku improve drastically in this season. It makes sense given the amount of episodes left. The second half of the Season was also amazing. I even cried a little at the end when Ochako gives her speech about Deku. There is a bath scene with the male characters at the end of the season, but the majority of it stays clean. If you enjoyed the previous seasons, I would definitely suggest giving this one a watch as well.

MY Hero Academia Season 5 OVA

Heroes and Students gather together to play Hero League Baseball. Gang Orca leads one team, while the Lion Hero leads the other. Every player uses their quirks to try and win the game. Meanwhile the police approach the Endeavor Agency to take care of a villain called Mr. Smiley who has been committing acts of vandalism all over town. Endeavor originally claims that such jobs are beneath him and should be taken care of by the police. The police have been unable to detain him due to his quirk, which makes anybody he looks at burst out in laughter. After going home and finding that his home has been vandalized by Mr. Smiley, Endeavor becomes more eager to take down the villain. Todoroki, Deku, and Bakugo go out with others from the endeavor team, but are stopped as they burst out in laughter. Will the heroes be able to capture the villain, or will he continue evade them?

My Hero Academia Season 5 OVA was really fun to watch. I almost never see baseball episodes so this one felt pretty unique in my opinion. The only other baseball episodes I have seen were in The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You and Squid Girl. I really enjoyed the second episode of the OVA as well. The case of Mr. Smiley felt really unique. I realized that a lot of people on the endeavor team are so serious that you don't imagine them laughing at all. So when they do start laughing, it's kind of fun to see. This OVA didn't have any lewd scenes. It takes place between seasons 5 & 6. I would definitely suggest giving it a watch.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission (Movie 3)

A cult known as Humarise sees quirks as a disease and seeks to eliminate them to save the human race. In order to make this happen they plant bombs all over the world that are filled with a toxic substance that makes quirks go out of control. They release one to show how disastrous it can be, they then announce that they plan to release these all over the world. The heroes of U.A High School who are doing their work studies are spread out in various countries throughout the world. After arriving in the country of Otheon Deku, Todoroki, and Bakugo see a robbery take place and chase the criminals down. After catching the criminals they realize the suitcase of jewelery has been handed off and Deku captures the thief, only to find out that the suitcases got swapped. A broadcast is then shown on TV claiming that Deku is a criminal that murdered 12 people. Will Deku be able to save the people of Otheon now that the police are on high alert for him?

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission takes place right after season 5. This is important because if you watch it before then various events throughout season 5 may be spoiled for you. I honestly really enjoyed the third movie. I feel like the fights in the My Hero Academia Movies are always more intense than the ones in the actual show. Though I'm enjoying the main series just as much. There are no lewd scenes in the movie. If you enjoyed My Hero Academia Season 5, I would definitely suggest giving this movie a try.

My Hero Academia Season 5

The Heroes of Class 1-A are back. After seeing Endeavor's fight against the Nomu, things are beginning to change; People's ideas of what it means to be a hero, as well as the motivation of Heroes in training. For their class a hypothetical rescue mission ensues. Mirio Togata plays the citizen in danger, while Nejire Hado and Tamaki Amajiki play the villains. Not long after, there's an announcement that Class 1-A and Class 1-B will be having a competition where they face off against each other in teams of four. Surprisingly, Hitoshi Shinso from General Studies will be joining on two of the teams to see if he has what it takes to join the Hero Course.

My Hero Academia Season 5 was just as good as the seasons before it. When I first started this series, getting to season five sounded unimaginable, but everything about My Hero Academia is interesting. I love the characters, the story, the animation, and the world building. While there isn't any swearing, there is a beach scene where you see Ochako, Tsuyu, Nejire, and Sirius in swimsuits. If you enjoyed the first four seasons, I would definitely suggest giving the fifth a try.

An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess

Cecil Glo Alphasta is a prince who has grown tired of the world due to his high intelligence, which helps him understand anything after hearing it once. One day he meets his Fiancée, Bertia Ibil Noches who claims that she's a villainess that is destined to try and tear apart his future love, the heroine. Since Cecil doesn't understand a word she's saying, he begins to become amused with what Bertia says and does.  Due to this he spends time with her going on various dates where he listens to what she says, and acts so that the future events where tragedy strikes cease to be a problem. But will Cecil have the power to change Bertia's mindset that the game's story is absolute?

An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess was really good. I typically enjoy the reincarnated as a villainess trope, but I dropped this one while it was airing. After giving it another try once it finished, the story kept me entertained the whole time. I feel like I can relate to Cecil to some degree, which made me want to see him find happiness even more. Bertia and Cecil are pretty funny. The anime is wholesome and there isn't any swearing. If you enjoy the reincarnated as a villainess trope, I would definitely suggest giving it a try.

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (Movie 2)

One day U. A. High School is contacted by the Heroes Public Safety Commission and alert the teachers that they want the Hero Course Students to work where no professional heroes are available. So Class 1-A is sent to Nabi Island. They develop the U.A. Hero Agency where citizens of the island will contact them, and they'll help the citizens no matter what. Thankfully it's been 30 years since any villains have shown up, so most of the jobs end up being things like helping the elderly get to where they need to, protecting the beach, fixing broken vehicles, etc. Though things started off smooth, villains eventually do show up and destroy all the boats available on the island, as well as taking down cell towers so it's impossible to ask for help. The villains intend to do whatever it takes to create a world where heroes and villains don't exist, only the strong and the weak. Will Deku and his classmates have what it takes to defeat them?

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising was super good. I really enjoyed seeing Class 1-A work as a group. Seeing them do actual hero work instead of practice felt totally different from the main series. Though the main seasons have their own charm as well. This movie takes place between season 4 and season 5, if you want to know where to watch it chronologically. The language is clean, and the characters stay mostly modest. Since this takes place on an island some scenes take place at the beach, so there are characters wearing swimsuits, but the movie doesn't make it feel lewd. While the entire movie was enjoyable, the best part was the end. The battles in My Hero Academia always surpass my expectations. Though there are some things that go unexplained, despite All Might hinting that he knows what's going on. IF you enjoy the regular seasons of My Hero Academia, I would definitely suggest giving Heroes Rising a watch.

Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 3

It's another hot day in the Scorching Sand Stratum. Kikoyu and Boxxo compete to sell food that will satisfy the people in the dungeon. After a few days, Lammis and the other residents throw Boxxo and Kikoyu a birthday party. During the party Kikoyu tells Boxxo that she's thinking of leaving the dungeon and finding her friend. After she leaves, Lammis, Hulemy, Shui, Mishuel, and Hevee all travel to the Dog Mountain Stratum. It is there they find out Captain Kerioyl and his family is also there. After learning that they joined the Netherlord, the group hopes to avoid any contact with the captain, Filmina, Aka and Shiro. While Hevee and Shui talk to the director of the Dog Mountain Stratum for clues on the whereabouts of another member of the Menagerie of Fools, Lammis, Hulemy, and Boxxo all decide to go fishing. It is there that they catch giant fish along with a Giant Clam. They set the clam on fire hoping to eat it without looking at what's inside. When Hevee and Shui come back they immediately take the clam off the fire and what comes out of it is truly a surprise to everyone.

Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 3 was really good. The ending of the season was absolutely crazy. Boxxo starts doing stuff in this season that i've been wanting to happen since Season 1. The fights in this season are really cool, as well as the slice of life scenes. There are no lewd scenes, though there is some swearing here and there. If you enjoyed the previous seasons, I would definitely suggest giving Season 3 a try.

My Hero Academia: Make It! Do-or-Die Survival Training

As the Class 1-A prepares for their provisional Licensing Exam, Eraser Head tells the class that there is typically a rescue exercise during the exam. To prepare for that he has set up a scenario where a doll is stuck in a mall where there has been a hypothetical fire. Their job is to find and rescue it. However, not long after they enter the mall, the stucture starts to collapse. Exits are blocked off by debris, and they can't break any more of the building or they'll be buried under it with no escape.  How will Class 1-A overcome this obstacle?

My Hero Academia: Make It! Do-or-Die! Survival Training was pretty fun to watch. Since this takes place before the provisional licensing exam, it feels like it should be watched after Season 3 episode 12. However, if you watch it after season 4 like I did, it just feels kind of like a flash back. I really enjoyed seeing an episode with escape training, since it feels like there aren't many of those in the main series. There is a little bit of swearing, but I would definitely suggest giving it a try.

My Hero Academia Season 4

After All Might's retirement, the public is wondering if there is still any hope left in the world. Many reporters have been writing about All Might's past, but a certain agency wants to do something different. So they hire freelance journalist Taneo Tokuda to infiltrate U.A. High School and report on Class 1-A who All Might has been spending an incredible amount of time with. Through a series of observations and deductions Taneo figures out that Deku is All Might's Successor. He tells Deku this directly, but promises not to alert the public about it...at least not anytime soon.

My Hero Academia Season 4 was really good. The fights between The Yakuza and The Heroes was amazing to see. You also get to see Deku steadily improve his fighting style. I really enjoyed the addition of Eri this season. It's fun to see her personal growth as well. There were no lewd scenes, or any swearing this season. If you enjoyed previous seasons, I would definitely suggest giving this one a try as well.

The Beginning After the End Season 2

It's been two years since Arthur Leywin set out on his adventures as the adventurer Note, along with Jasmine Flamesworth of the Twinhorns. He goes on a quest to find a mana beast that's been causing trouble for villages. What they find is an Arachne; A spider-like monster that's resistant to magic, and has an outer shell so hard that swords bounce right off it. Jasmine and Arthur run away after seeing a young girl get trapped inside a crystal after being hit by the Arachne's web. However, as they stop to take a breather before returning to alert the adventurers guild, the Arachne pops up from behind them and freezes jasmine in a crystal. Rather than returning to the guild, Arthur defeats the monster freeing Jasmine and the other villagers.

The Beginning After the End Season 2 was super good. I really enjoyed that they brought back Tessia this season. However, they keep missing each other despite being in the same city. It felt similar to what happened in The Strongest Job is Not a Hero or a Sage, but an Appraiser (Provisional) with Hibiki and Emalia. It would have been nice if they could have met up sooner. It did feel a little bit like Mushoku Tensei, but not as much as season 1 did. The battles against monsters are really cool and kept me captivated. There isn't any swearing, or any lewd scenes. If you enjoy Isekai anime, I would definitely suggest giving this one a watch.

Cosmic Princess Kaguya!

Iroha Sakayori is the perfect honor student. She excels at everything she puts her mind to. However, in order to pay for her house and save ...
