Cosmic Princess Kaguya!

Iroha Sakayori is the perfect honor student. She excels at everything she puts her mind to. However, in order to pay for her house and save money for college, she works extremely hard, leaving her with hardly any time to focus on her hobbies. Her few sources of enjoyment are playing virtual reality games and listening to the virtual idol Yachiyo sing.

One day, after finishing work, Iroha sees a shooting star. She makes a wish for more money and then heads home. When she arrives on the street where her house is located, she sees a streetlamp glowing. As she approaches it, two bamboo handles appear, and when it opens, Iroha sees a baby. Afraid of leaving it on the street, she takes it home with her.

Over the course of a weekend, the baby, Kaguya, grows into a teenager. Iroha introduces Kaguya to the world of VR, and they play her favorite game, Tsukiyome. After seeing the virtual idol Yachiyo, Kaguya decides to become a streamer herself. She becomes popular by singing the songs that Iroha writes. However, her newfound popularity may be just a fleeting dream. Not only does she draw the eyes of many fans, but also those who seek to take away the freedom that Kaguya longs to have. Will Iroha have the power to save her new friend?

Cosmic Princess Kaguya was a complete surprise to me. I had read a brief summary of the story of the bamboo cutter a day or two ago, so I understood the story that inspired the movie. I also knew that it took place in the virtual world and included music from posts and summaries I had read online prior to watching it. However, the movie gives the old story a modern take in a way that I wouldn't have predicted. It feels kind of like Seven Senses of the Reunion and Shangri-La Frontier. However, that's only in terms of the fighting style and digital-world aspect. The story is completely different from those two anime in every way.

After an hour and twenty minutes of watching, I was convinced the movie was over based on the events that had played out. But I paused it, only to find out that there was still over an hour left of the movie. It was really good, but it was a bit longer than I was expecting. The entire thing was wholesome. There were no lewd scenes or swearing. I would definitely suggest giving it a try if you enjoy music anime and virtual reality anime.

My Hero Academia: You’re Next (Movie 4)

The Heroes of Class 1-A are traveling the streets searching for and capturing the criminals that All For One released from prison. While they chase after a man with a hostage, a man who bears a strong resemblance to All Might appears on a flying ship. After seeing All Might's final battle with All For One  he believes that he is the new symbol of peace when All Might pointed and said "Now, it's your turn." He then uses his quirk to swallow up citizens, heroes, and buildings which make the size of his ship grow exponentially bigger. He plans to use it to crush U. A. High School, and take away the current heroes so that a new society can begin, with him as the new #1 Hero. Meanwhile He uses the people inside of his ship that he absorbed as test subjects to gain even more power. Will Class 1-A be able to beat such an intimidating villain?

My Hero Academia: You're Next was super good. The final fight with Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki was amazing. However, My favorite movie is still Heroes Rising. This movie should be watched right after the Star and Stripe Arc, between Season 7 episode 2 & 3. There are multiple things that lead me to believe this takes place in the spare week that Star gave them. Like Principal Nezu saying that U.A needs to be used to fight Shigaraki, as well as the fact that nobody was injured yet. The Movie is free of any Lewd scenes. I would definitely suggest giving it a watch if you have gotten to Season 7 of the main series.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission (Movie 3)

A cult known as Humarise sees quirks as a disease and seeks to eliminate them to save the human race. In order to make this happen they plant bombs all over the world that are filled with a toxic substance that makes quirks go out of control. They release one to show how disastrous it can be, they then announce that they plan to release these all over the world. The heroes of U.A High School who are doing their work studies are spread out in various countries throughout the world. After arriving in the country of Otheon Deku, Todoroki, and Bakugo see a robbery take place and chase the criminals down. After catching the criminals they realize the suitcase of jewelery has been handed off and Deku captures the thief, only to find out that the suitcases got swapped. A broadcast is then shown on TV claiming that Deku is a criminal that murdered 12 people. Will Deku be able to save the people of Otheon now that the police are on high alert for him?

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission takes place right after season 5. This is important because if you watch it before then various events throughout season 5 may be spoiled for you. I honestly really enjoyed the third movie. I feel like the fights in the My Hero Academia Movies are always more intense than the ones in the actual show. Though I'm enjoying the main series just as much. There are no lewd scenes in the movie. If you enjoyed My Hero Academia Season 5, I would definitely suggest giving this movie a try.

Null & Peta OVA

Null wakes up inside of a wrestling ring where her Sister Peta is dressed as the referee. There she faces multiple Null's and Peta's from various parts of the world. They fight with fists, food, and other objects to try and become the best. Who will win the tournament? Will it be Null, or will it be Peta?

Null & Peta OVA was pretty interesting starting out. A tournament where you fight yourself is pretty cool. However, the episode evolves into something completely different than what it started out as. Seeing as the episode is only 5 minutes I can understand why they wanted to fit as much content as they could into it.  There isn't any swearing. While it doesn't have any of the usual tropes like beach scenes, hot springs scenes, or pool scenes, you do see Peta in a bikini at the very end of the episode as she's fighting in the ring. If you don't like fan service, you can skip this; but, if you enjoyed the Null & Peta series it could be worth a try.

My Hero Academia Season 5

The Heroes of Class 1-A are back. After seeing Endeavor's fight against the Nomu, things are beginning to change; People's ideas of what it means to be a hero, as well as the motivation of Heroes in training. For their class a hypothetical rescue mission ensues. Mirio Togata plays the citizen in danger, while Nejire Hado and Tamaki Amajiki play the villains. Not long after, there's an announcement that Class 1-A and Class 1-B will be having a competition where they face off against each other in teams of four. Surprisingly, Hitoshi Shinso from General Studies will be joining on two of the teams to see if he has what it takes to join the Hero Course.

My Hero Academia Season 5 was just as good as the seasons before it. When I first started this series, getting to season five sounded unimaginable, but everything about My Hero Academia is interesting. I love the characters, the story, the animation, and the world building. While there isn't any swearing, there is a beach scene where you see Ochako, Tsuyu, Nejire, and Sirius in swimsuits. If you enjoyed the first four seasons, I would definitely suggest giving the fifth a try.

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (Movie 2)

One day U. A. High School is contacted by the Heroes Public Safety Commission and alert the teachers that they want the Hero Course Students to work where no professional heroes are available. So Class 1-A is sent to Nabi Island. They develop the U.A. Hero Agency where citizens of the island will contact them, and they'll help the citizens no matter what. Thankfully it's been 30 years since any villains have shown up, so most of the jobs end up being things like helping the elderly get to where they need to, protecting the beach, fixing broken vehicles, etc. Though things started off smooth, villains eventually do show up and destroy all the boats available on the island, as well as taking down cell towers so it's impossible to ask for help. The villains intend to do whatever it takes to create a world where heroes and villains don't exist, only the strong and the weak. Will Deku and his classmates have what it takes to defeat them?

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising was super good. I really enjoyed seeing Class 1-A work as a group. Seeing them do actual hero work instead of practice felt totally different from the main series. Though the main seasons have their own charm as well. This movie takes place between season 4 and season 5, if you want to know where to watch it chronologically. The language is clean, and the characters stay mostly modest. Since this takes place on an island some scenes take place at the beach, so there are characters wearing swimsuits, but the movie doesn't make it feel lewd. While the entire movie was enjoyable, the best part was the end. The battles in My Hero Academia always surpass my expectations. Though there are some things that go unexplained, despite All Might hinting that he knows what's going on. IF you enjoy the regular seasons of My Hero Academia, I would definitely suggest giving Heroes Rising a watch.

My Hero Academia Season 4

After All Might's retirement, the public is wondering if there is still any hope left in the world. Many reporters have been writing about All Might's past, but a certain agency wants to do something different. So they hire freelance journalist Taneo Tokuda to infiltrate U.A. High School and report on Class 1-A who All Might has been spending an incredible amount of time with. Through a series of observations and deductions Taneo figures out that Deku is All Might's Successor. He tells Deku this directly, but promises not to alert the public about it...at least not anytime soon.

My Hero Academia Season 4 was really good. The fights between The Yakuza and The Heroes was amazing to see. You also get to see Deku steadily improve his fighting style. I really enjoyed the addition of Eri this season. It's fun to see her personal growth as well. There were no lewd scenes, or any swearing this season. If you enjoyed previous seasons, I would definitely suggest giving this one a try as well.

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (Movie 1)

One day All Might asks Deku if he wants to go to I-Island; A place where the greatest scientific minds gather together to study quirks and develop technology that can support the heroes around the world. After arriving they meet Melissa, the daughter of All Might's long-time friend David Shield. She invited All Might as a surprise for her Father who is participating in the I-Expo where peoples inventions are shown off. However, things go awry when a group of villains show up and Hijack the city as well as restrain the heroes attending the Expo. Will Deku and his friends be able to save the city?

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes takes place between Seasons 2 & 3, right after the Final Exam Arc. Though it does have a prequel. Episode 58 or Season 3 episode 20 serves as a prequel to the movie. I really enjoyed Two Heroes. You get to see Deku's power unrestrained thanks to an invention made by Melissa. If you enjoy My Hero Academia, I would definitely suggest giving the movie a try.

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2

Kafka Hibino has been left alive thanks to the decision made by Kikoru Shinomiya's Father. However, in exchange they want to use him as a living weapon to fight of the increasing number of Kaiju. Kafka is reassigned to the First division since the third division's base was destroyed by the Yoju bomb. There he reconnects with Kikoru who has also been reassigned to the first division. Will Kafka be able to move up and keep his promise to fight by Mina Ashiro's side?

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 was really good. It was cool to see Kafka fight in a different division. You also get to learn a lot more about what goes on in the JAKDF. Kaiju No. 8 definitely deserves the popularity it has. Everyone dresses modestly in this season. There is some swearing throughout it though. I would definitely suggest giving it a try if you enjoyed Kaiju No. 8 Season 1.

Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon

Kafka Hibino has always dreamed of being in the Japanese Anti-Kaiju Defense Force. But despite multiple tries, he always seemed to fail. It isn't until he meets Reno Ichikawa that he decides to give the test one last try. Thanks to the vice captain who oversaw the test, Kafka was able to make it into the force as a cadet. But unfortunately Kafka has a secret that would turn his life upside down. Just before Kafka takes the test to become an officer is attacked by a kaiju, which turns him into one of the most powerful kaiju in history. Will Kafka be able to keep his powers a secret while working to become a leader who fights the kaiju attacking japan?

Kaiju No. 8: Mission Recon is basically a recap of Kaiju No. 8 Season 1. While a lot was cut out to make it into the length of a movie, they still included the important parts of the story. If you want to know about Kaiju no. 8 but don't want to spend almost five hours watching the first season, I would suggest giving the movie a try. While there is a bath scene it's of the guys, so it doesn't really feel like fan service to me. Everybody dresses modestly, which is a plus. Because they cut off a lot of the story, the fighting is more prominent. Overall, I enjoyed it.

TOO CUTE CRISIS

Liza Luna is an alien from outer space. The Azatoth Empire to whom she belongs has set their sights on earth. After conquering plenty of planets, they want to know if earth has anything that makes it worth saving. So they send lisa to research what life is like on this planet. After getting asked what the cuisine is like she goes to the first restaurant she sees which happens to be a cat café. Having only seen bizarre pets throughout the universe she is unable to handle the shock of seeing cats for the first time. So much so that she passes out after seeing a cat's paw pad. Will Liza gain the willpower to learn about animal life on earth without being overcome by their cute form?

Too Cute Crisis was better than I expected. It's pretty different from the anime I usually watch. I think seeing the aliens reactions to animals is pretty funny. Also Garmie and Luster are just the best. There is a hot springs scene and a bath scene, but I wouldn't say that this is an ecchi anime. I feel like they put those in there not for the purpose of having fan service, but because it fit the story. I would definitely suggest it to anyone who likes anime cats.

Kaiju No.8: Hoshina's Day Off

The Majority of the 3rd Division has the day off. After realizing that he doesn't actually know how to spend a day off, Reno is approached by vice captain Hoshina. Hoshina tells Reno that he is busy, but on the next day off he'll show him how to spend your day off right. After Hoshina leaves, Reno is approached by Iharu Furuhashi who becomes curious about what the vice captain could be doing, but assumes he's meeting with a lady. Reno doesn't believe that, so they make a bet and follow him throughout the day to see what he's doing. Will they be able to stay hidden, or will Vice Captain Hoshina catch them before the bet is settled?

Kaiju No. 8: Hoshina's Day Off was pretty fun to watch. While its not important to the story, I enjoyed learing more about what type of people the 3rd Division are like personally by seeing how each one spends their free time. The language was clean and there was no fan service. If you enjoyed Season 1, I would suggest giving Hoshina's Day Off a Watch.

Kaiju No. 8

Kafka Hibino was affected by a Kaiju attack as a child. After losing people close to him, he made a promise with his childhood friend that they would both join Japan's Kaiju Defense Force when they grew up. However, he applied over a decade and failed every single year. Now he spends his time on the cleanup crew that disposes of the Kaiju's corpses after the Defense Force has killed them. He had nearly given up on his dream until a new recruit to the cleanup team tells him that they are changing the application age for the defense force to 33. Now that he has another chance, will everything go his way?

Kaiju No. 8 was better than I was expecting. I tried to watch it awhile ago but stopped before the first episode even ended. I really liked it this time around though. The action scenes are fun to watch, and the story is entertaining as well. There is no fan service, and the language is kept clean. If you like action anime, I would suggest giving this one a try.

One-Punch Man Season 3

After the last battle Goro was able to escape. Even though Centichoro was able to go down, the monster association continues to be a real threat. The Hero Association plans to put together a task force of S-Class Hunters to recover the child that was kidnapped. Meanwhile King, Genos, Hellish Blizzard, Sliverfang, and Bomb are recuperating at Saitama's apartment in City Z where the monster association is hiding. Will they all be able to make it out alive, or will the monsters be too much to handle?

One Punch Man Season 3 got a lot of hate from fans, and I don't think it deserves the level of hate that it got. One Punch Man Season 3 has the exact same feel as the other seasons. The Animationis the same, the art style is the same, the voice actors are the same, the story is the same, etc. The only fault I find with it is that Saitama wasn't shown for like half of the season. While it was cool to see some of the other S-Class Heroes Fight, I was really hoping Saitama would have had more screen time. There's no fan service and the language is clean. If you enjoyed the first two seasons of one punch man, then you'll most likely enjoy the third as well.

Mechanical Marie

Arthur Zetes is the heir to the Zetes Corporation. He's an extreme misanthrope who hates both people and lies. Plenty of assassins have been after him his whole life. Marie Evans is a young girl who became the strongest Female wrestler before coming to serve as Arthurs Robot Maid. While she is doing this to pay off her parents debt, the Zetes family pays for her to attend school while acting as Arthurs body guard. If Arthur discovers that Marie is human, both her and her employer Roy will disappear. Will they be able to keep the charade up without Arthur catching on?

Mechanical Marie was better than I expected. I dropped it originally while it was airing because I thought that Noah was a little annoying. However, after binging the whole thing I really liked the story. The ending was satisfying as well, which can't be said of a lot of anime. The anime is mostly clean, but there is a shower and bath scene at the beginning of episode 11. While part of it does take place at a high school, if feels completely different from romantic comedies like Alya sometimes hides her feelings in Russian and the Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten. Even though it is slightly ecchi I would definitely recommend it for anyone who enjoys romance anime.

Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family!

Alma Kamisato is a robot built by Suzume Yobane and Enji Kamisato. One day after doing tests on Alma's fighting capabilities she starts to call Enji "Dad" and Suzume "Mom". Thinking that it could be a good way to hide from other scientists, Enji suggests that the three of them do start acting like a family. Thus begins a story about an Advanced Learning Artificial Intelligence Robot and her adventures to help her grow up.

Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! was definitely my favorite anime this season. It has a different feel from other family type anime like Spy x Family and Buddy Daddies. It feels more relaxing. While there is a beach episode and a bath scene, I would still say its far more wholesome than other anime. I would definitely suggest giving it a try.

One-Punch Man Season 2

One day Genos and Saitama are out shopping for hotpot ingredients for dinner. It is then they see a lizard man who is trying to torment people by licking them. He immediately runs away once the S-Class hero King shows up. Shortly after a giant robot named G-4 shows up with the intention of fighting King. However, when King goes to the bathroom Genos fights in his place. When Saitama offers to help, Genos refuses and claims that he will rank among the top 10 S-Class heroes with his own abilities. So Saitama Heads up to Kings apartment and learns that he enjoys playing video games. They then start growing as friends by playing video games together.

One-Punch Man Season 2 was just as good as Season 1. The story gets interesting once they introduce the Hero Hunter Garo. The language and visuals are both clean. If you enjoyed One-Punch Man Season 1, I would definitely suggest giving Season 2 a try.

One-Punch Man

Monsters constantly invade cities. When one shows up with incredible powers, Saitama arrives only to defeat it in one punch. Life has become boring when Saitama realized that there was no one that could beat him. Though Giants, aliens, and other monsters appeared, he couldn't get the thrill from fighting that he used to. That is until he meets Genos. Genos is a Cyborg who was impressed by Saitama's strength and asks to be his disciple. Together they take a test at the hero's association and become professional hero's.

One-Punch Man was better than I thought it would be. It was something I have tried on three separate occasions to watch, but couldn't get past the first couple of episodes. Now that I have finished Season 1, I can say that it was definitely worth the watch. If you are a fan of anime with super heroes or people with super powers, I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Season 2

LLENN is back doing her third Squad Jam. This time she is teaming up with Pitohui rather than fighting against her. The new course has some elements that completely change the game such as the board slowly shrinking by holding it on an island that is being consumed by the water. This forces the teams to move if they don't want to die. Though from the start there are mysteries and hidden rules that won't be revealed till the end. Will LLENN and her friends be able to Survive?

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Season 2 was way better than I was expecting. I liked how they didn't focus on just LLENN's team and showed how things were going for the other teams as well. There are a few scenes where you see the main Goushi Asougi shirtless, as well as some swearing here and there. However, I would definitely still suggest it, especially if you enjoyed season 1.

DAN DA DAN Season 2

Momo, Jiji, and Okarun arrive at Jiji's old house which supposedly is haunted. However, when Momo tries to exorcise it she doesn't sense the presence of any yokai. That is until she decides to take a dip in the hot springs. five men go after her while she is separated from the boys. Meanwhile, Jiji and Okarun have become trapped inside of Jiji's old family home. What they didn't know is that Jiji's house has been used as a place to offer sacrifices to a monster for centuries. The grudges and resentment of those who got sacrificed lingered there and drew an incredible opponent beneath the property, Evil Eye. Will the group be able to handle all the chaos that comes their way?

DAN DA DAN Season 2 was pretty good. Jiji was annoying as heck and made me cringe more times than I can count. But once Aira showed up I began to enjoy the show a lot more. Visually Dan Da Dan Season 2 was a lot cleaner than Season 1 except for the Hot spring Scenes.  If you enjoyed Season 1 I would suggest giving season 2 a try. While the beginning was hard to watch it ended with me wanting more.

Cosmic Princess Kaguya!

Iroha Sakayori is the perfect honor student. She excels at everything she puts her mind to. However, in order to pay for her house and save ...
