Romantic Killer

After buying a game called Romantic Thriller, a wizard named Riri appears in front of Anzu Hoshino. The wizard Riri makes a contract with Anzu in the form of pre-game details. Since Anzu didn't read it and went straight into playing the game she is forced into a real world dating sim experience. To make sure that she prioritizes romance instead of her hobbies, Riri confiscates all her video games, chocolate and her cat momohiki. Riri also makes it impossible to purchase any of these things. Along with that, Riri sends Anzu's parents off to the United States so that she will be living alone. While Riri is coordinating all these situations to make Anzu fall in love, Anzu becomes determined to never get into a relationship, no matter who comes along. However, will she be able to continue to refuse once she actually gets to know the love interests?

Romantic Killer was interesting because it felt different from most High School Romantic Comedy's. It kind of had a similar feel to Love Tyrant. While it wasn't something I could binge all in one go, I did enjoy watching it. The boys fit into usual tropes, but unlike the love interests, Anzu feels like someone you would actually meet in real life. There aren't any lewd scenes or any swearing. I would definitely suggest giving it a try if you want to see a unique Romcom.

'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess Season 2

The torture continues in this new season. The princess loses her memory due to a spell. In hopes of bringing back her memories, Torture Tortura reenacts the first torture that she ever did for the princess. Thanks to that the princess was able to remember everything. All the members of the Torture department decides to have a basketball game, however, nobody really knows the rules. Thanks to one an announcement for a Season 2 of The Hell Lorde's favorite anime, The Hell Lord decides to give everyone a free cake. Torture turns it into a Torture session by putting candles on the cake and won't let the princess blow them out unless she reveals an imperial secret.

Tis Time for "Torture," Princess Season 2 was way better than Season 1 in my opinion. I laughed a ton and a lot of the scenes felt pretty relatable to my own life. The appearance of the new character Sakura gave me a lot of anticipation for each new episode. That was something else that I didn't feel in season 1. There is a Hot Springs Scene, but id didn't feel that lewd to me. If you enjoyed Season 1, I would definitely suggest giving Season 2 a try.

You and I Are Polar Opposites

Miyu Suzuki has a crush on Yuusuke Tani. Nobody suspected it since she's the type of person who seems to be friends with everybody. Tani happens to be the complete opposite and is quiet and typically keeps to himself unless he needs to talk with others. One day Miyu asks to walk home with Yuusuke. The next day she learns that someone saw her walking home. She denies having any special feelings when she is asked, but after Yuusuke leaves, she tells her class about the love she has for Yuusuke. She then runs out and confesses to him on a bridge. Thus begins the love story between two people who are Polar Opposites, but both love each other enough that none of that matters.

You and I Are Polar Opposites was super amazing. I had grown tired of Romance anime where the characters never seem to become a couple. So when Miyu and Yuusuke became a couple in the first episode it felt super refreshing. I also love the characters personalities. The romance between Nisshi and Yamada was especially adorable to watch. There is a hot springs scene, but you just see the girls shoulders, so it doesn't feel all that lewd. The language stays clean, which was nice. I would definitely suggest giving it a watch.

Tamon's B-Side

Utage Kinoshita is a regular girl in high school. What she loves more than anything else is the Idol group F/ACE. Her favorite singer is Tamon Fukuhara. One day while she is doing her job as a house keeper she gets invited to Tamon's apartment. While in concert Tamon has a "sexy and wild" persona, but it turns out that in private Tamon is an introvert with no self confidence. So while she cleans the house and takes care of Tamon's health, Utage also becomes a close friend who is able to lift Tamon's spirits so that he can do his best while he is working as an idol.

Tamon's B-Side was a fun anime. I really enjoyed the balance of Utage's high school life and her personal life. It kind of reminded me a bit of D4DJ First Mix as well as Oshi No Ko. I don't typically watch Idol anime, but this is one of the best i've seen. The anime does a great job at pacing in a way that you can learn about each member of F/ACE and feel a connection with the characters. I even teared up a little bit during Natsuki Ishibashi's Arc. There are no lewd scenes in the anime, and the language is clean. I would definitely suggest it if you are looking for a romance that feels different from your typical high school romance.

You Can't Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends!

Yonosuke Sakai also known as Eiyu loves romance manga. However, his favorite type of romances are childhood friend romances.  Eiyu has four childhood friends. Two of them are in the same high school named Shio and Akari. Eiyu believes that it is impossible to be in a romcom with his childhood friends, however, both Shio and Akari have a huge crush on Eiyu. Will things be able to work out?

I really enjoyed You Can't Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends. It started out really cute and funny. Though as more girls started to get added I didn't enjoy it as much. I think love triangles are preferable to Harems. While I was hoping Shio and Eiyu would become a couple at first, I began to hope that Runako and Eiyu would become a couple as the season went on. There is some fan service throughout the anime, though it's mostly in the beginning. There is a bath scene, a shower scene, a beach episode, as well as some panty shots here and there. If you enjoy romance anime, I think this one is worth giving a try.

An Adventurer’s Daily Grind at Age 29

Hajime Shinonome has been adventuring in a rural village for some time now. One day while going into the dungeon he comes across a girl who is stuck inside a slime. When he pulls her out he learns her name is Rirui and that her parents abandoned her. After trying to find her a place for Rirui to stay, Hajime eventually ends up letting her live with him, while he teaches her the basics of adventuring.

An Adventurer's Daily Grind at Age 29 was a fun anime to watch. I always enjoy the adventurer takes in a child trope that you see in anime's like If It's For My Daugher, I'll Even Defeat a Demon Lord and Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring. While there is some swearing, the characters dress modestly, and there is no unnecessary lewd scenes. I would definitely suggest giving it a try, if you enjoy fantasy anime that focus on adventuring.

Actually, I Am

Asahi Kuromine is a boy who is known for never keeping secrets. Everyone calls him a "Leaky Basket" because the truth flows right out of him.  For a long time he has had a crush on his classmate Youko Shiragami. When he finally gets the courage to confess his feelings to her, he learns that she's actually a vampire. Youko tells Asahi that if her secret gets out she would have to leave school. So Asahi promises to keep her secret and asks her to be friends.

I really enjoyed watching Actually, I Am. While they don't become a couple due to Asahi's slip of the tongue, it's a great school life anime. It has a similar feel to Rosario + Vampire with all the different monsters going to school together. The design of the devil though, reminded me of To Love Ru. I was half expecting her to claim to be from deviluke. While I said it reminded me of To Love Ru and Rosario + Vampire, it has almost no fan service at all. There is a bath scene and a pool scene though. Overall, I would definitely suggest giving it a watch.

Dekin no Mogura: The Earthbound Mole

After a talk with their school mates, Yaeko Kirihara and Kuriaki Magi see a man get hit by a thick book that had dropped from a nearby building and broke his head open. Despite that the man claims that he doesn't need medical attention and runs off. They follow him to where he lives and he tells them that his name is Mogura and they should contact him if they see any ghosts. The next day both Yaeka and Kuriaki start seeing ghosts. Who is Mogura? What does he do? Where is he from? These types of questions are at the forefront of Kuriaki's mind, but he's afraid of what will happen if he asks them.

Dekin No Mogura: The Earthbound Mole was completely different from what I was imagining. I totally though this would be about a guy who could transform into a mole from the title. Anyway, the story was interesting and I had no trouble binging it. I don't watch paranormal type anime a lot, so its always fun when I stumble across one and enjoy it. There is no fan service and the language is kept clean. I would suggest giving it a try if you enjoy supernatural type anime.

My Awkward Senpai

Azusa Kannawa is an introvert who excels at her job. She has spent time establishing herself as the person who refuses to go to work parties. That all changes when the department chief for public affairs asks her to train a new recruit. She is tasked with helping Yu Kamegawa as he gets to know the job. Could their Junior/Senior relationship turn into something more?

I felt a lot of things as I watched My Awkard Senpai. It did feel cringy at parts, but the story was good for an office romance. It was interesting enough to keep me from dropping it. There is a beach episode, as well as a hot springs scene. However, I would still claim its a wholesome anime. If you enjoy Office Romance, I would suggest giving it a try.

Ranma1/2 (2024) Season 2

Ranma Saotome and Akane Tendo are back. This time Shampoo is more determined than ever to make Ranma her own. She even brings her grandma who is a skilled master of martial arts to help her get into a relationship with Ranma. Together Shampoo and her grandma start a cat cafe where Ranma works, in hopes of curing the affects of his curse.

Ranma 1/2 Season 2 was just as good as season 1. It had a unique feel you don't get from modern romance animes. Not only is the art style unique, but the character names, and overall premise feel new. While I'm not a huge fan of Tsundere's, Ranma 1/2 Season 2 has enough unique elements to counteract that for me. While there is recognizable tropes like Harems and gender bending, you can't help but love it. There is quite a bit of fan service throughout it, just like season 1. There are bath scenes, hot spring scenes, and just random moments of Ranma transforming into a girl. I would definitely suggest it if you are looking for an anime that has a good balance of action and romance.

Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota

Oota is constantly confused when he is around Kashiwada, because she always remains expressionless. However, Kashiwada can always tell what Oota is thinking because his face gives it away. So Oota makes it his job to try and get a reaction out of Kashiwada by playing harmless pranks on her. With the help of his friends Tadoko and Sata, Kashiwada and Oota slowly grow closer to one another.

I really enjoyed Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota. However, I can understand why some people wouldn't. Oota is far from the most charming main character you'll see in anime. His personality irked me at the beginning of the first episode. But the romantic moments between Kashiwada and Oota made me grow to love the characters and the show more and more with each episode. Kashiwada kind of remind me of Reina Aharen from Aharen-san wa Hakarenai. She helps give the show a calming effect. While there is a beach episode and a pool scene, the anime remains clean and wholesome. I would definitely suggest giving it a try if you like Romance anime.

Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family!

Alma Kamisato is a robot built by Suzume Yobane and Enji Kamisato. One day after doing tests on Alma's fighting capabilities she starts to call Enji "Dad" and Suzume "Mom". Thinking that it could be a good way to hide from other scientists, Enji suggests that the three of them do start acting like a family. Thus begins a story about an Advanced Learning Artificial Intelligence Robot and her adventures to help her grow up.

Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! was definitely my favorite anime this season. It has a different feel from other family type anime like Spy x Family and Buddy Daddies. It feels more relaxing. While there is a beach episode and a bath scene, I would still say its far more wholesome than other anime. I would definitely suggest giving it a try.

Secrets of the Silent Witch

Monica Everett is known as the Silent Witch, and is the youngest member of the Seven Sages. These seven wizards are the most powerful wizards and witches in the country, and each specializes in a different type of magic. Due to her shyness, Monica learned to cast magic without chanting. However she has shut herself away in a hut in the mountains, until another one of the Seven Sages comes to her with an offer to protect the second prince of the kingdom without him figuring out her real identity. Unable to say no, Monica accepts the job. She pretends to be the sister of Isabelle Norton, the daughter of the lord of a land she had recently saved from a dragon attack. Will Monica be able to come out of her shell so that she can hide amongst the magic academy students, while also protecting the prince?

Secrets of the Silent Witch was super good. It had a similar feel to other magic academy anime like The Gorilla God's Go-to Girl and My Next Life as the Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom. All the characters are lovable in my opinion. Everybody dresses modestly and the language is clean.  It has a real relaxing feel to it, so it is something I would definitely suggest watching.

My Dress-Up Darling Season 2

When Suzuka tells Marin about a studio she used for one of her cosplays, Marin decides to give the studio a try as well. She asks Wakana Gojo to make her a bunny suit costume for the character Arisa Izayoi from the anime We're the Tsukiyomi Company. After using the studio, she decides to wear it to a halloween party with friends from her class at school. In the middle of Karaoke, Nowa asks them if the two of them are going out. Naturally both are shocked by the sudden quesstion. But Gojo's response to it hurts Marin more than just the question being asked.

My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 was fun to watch. It felt similar to season 1 in that they do different cosplays, go to events, meet new cosplayers, and learn more about different aspects of cosplaying that they didn't know about. The characters are fun to watch and there was less fan service than there was in season 1. There is a bath scene and a shower scene though, as well as clothes with cleavage. If you enjoyed the first season, you should give season 2 a try as well.

Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho

After seeing his sister Suzune treated harshly by his father, Jinta takes her and runs away. They come to a little village called Kadono that is known for its blacksmithing. A Sentinal takes in Suzune and Jinta and trains Jinta in Swordsmanship. Life seems peaceful until Suzune hears word that despite having feelings for her brother the Sentinals daughter agrees to marry someone else for the village's sake. Demons invade the village of Kadono and both Suzune and Jinta are turned into Demons while The Sentinal's Daughter, Shirayuki is murdered along with her future husband. Jinta leaves the village and plans to go on a journey to get stronger so that one day he can face his sister and resolve things.

Sword of the Demon Hunter: Jijin Gentosho was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. While it first appears to be a revenge story, it turns into a mystery anime kind of like The Apothecary Diaries. While the two stories are completely different the structure of the anime's feels the same. The anime is clean both visually and with the language it uses. I would definitely suggest giving it a try.

The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity

Chidori High School is a High School that is typically your last choice when choosing a school. It has a large gathering of students who fall behind more often than your average student. Next to Chidori is Kikyo High School. Kikyo is a school for prim and proper girls who always look down on chidori students as if they are trash. Rintaro Tsumugi is no different. After getting contacted by his mom one day he comes home to help at his family's bakery rather than hanging out with his friends. It is there he meets Kaoruko Waguri. Kaoruko offers to buy him a cake to talk with him. The next day Rintaro finds out that Kaoruko is a student at Kikyo High School. How will this affect their relationship going forward?

The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity was pretty fun to watch. While I did enjoy it, I think that other people over exaggerated how good it was. I was told that it was about the best romance anime ever. While that may be true for some, it didn't have as big of an impact on me as some other romances like Aharen-san wa Hakarenai and Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms. The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity is clean both visually and with the language it uses. I would definitely suggest giving it a try.

Please Put Them On, Takamine-san

Koushi Shirota is your typical side character that blends into the background. However, he has always gone to the same schools as Takane Takamine who is the student council president of Fujihigashi high school. one day while Koushi is eating his meal alone Takane comes into the sports room to get dressed. While it wasn't intentional he sees her get dressed. Later in the day when she stands up and takes her panty's off in the middle of class, Koushi asks why Takane did it. He then learns that she has a super power to go back in time and undo things throughout the day whenever she takes off her underwear. Now that Koushi has seen her bare breasts he no longer loses his memory when Takane goes back in time. So she approaches him and asks him to be her closet. With the ability to shape the world how she wants it will Takane actually take no for an answer?

Please Put Them On, Takamine-san was not a great anime. While the premise seems unique at first it honestly ended up feeling like some other Romance anime's like Bokuben: We Never Learn and Masamune-kun's Revenge. There is plenty of unneeded fan service throughout the anime, but it was also to be expected given the premise of the show. I would suggest skipping this one if you happen to come across it.

I've Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level Season 2

The Witch of the Highlands, Azusa, realizes that it has been a long time since she has done anything witch-like, so she decides to grab medicinal herbs in the forest. It is there that she finds red beans. She takes them back with her and creates manju buns. After trying them out Halkara tells Azusa that she should sell them. Falfa then says that they kind of look like slimes and might look cute if they had a face on them. Azusa, Falfa, Shalsha, Halkara, Laika, and Rosalie all go into town and set up a stall selling "snack slimes". A line soon forms and someone mentions that cooking must be the witch of the highlands special skill. It is then that Azusa remembers that she still hasn't done anything witch-like. But she believes she is the happiest witch alive.

I've Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level Season 2 was just as fun as Season 1. It bears a similar resemblance in structure with Azusa meeting new people and helping them out, as well as spending time with Beelzebub and the Demon King Pecora. The language is clean and the clothes are modest. If you liked season 1, you should definitely watch season 2.

To Love Ru Darkness 2 (Season 4)

The day started out like any other, with Rito grabbing Momo's tail before waking up. After Nana walks in and tells the two to get ready, they all head to school together. It's there that Nana meets Haruna and gives her her favorite energy drink from Deviluke. However, the drink is unsuitable for someone from earth, and Haruna gets drunk from it. When Rito walks in on the situation, he walks her home receiving more than a few concerned looks by the public. Once he gets to Haruna's house, she asks him to nurse her back to health. Will it be that easy though?

To Love Ru Darkness 2 is just what you would expect if you have watched anything past the first season. There are multiple bath scenes, multiple shower scenes, a pool scene, and more accidental trips than you can count. However, I really enjoyed it. Some people claim that Momo has replaced Lala, but Lala isn't completely excluded. She still makes her appearances to give out inventions that end up making trouble rather than solving it. The ending was also really intense. I would definetely suggest it if you enjoyed any of the previous seasons of To Love Ru. However, feel free to avoid it if you don't like the Ecchi genre.

The Unaware Atelier Meister

Kurt Rockhans was in the Flaming Dragon Fangs adventuring party doing their chores, when one day he was fired. Now with nowhere to he headed to the city of Samaela where he signed up for Hello Hell Work. They did an aptitude test only to find out that he has no aptitude relating to combat, which will make it hard to find work. Luckily The Frontier Town had a job looking for people to fix the walls of a military fortress there. It was there that he got fired after three days because he fixed two out of the four walls all by himself. The foreman believed that there would be no work for anyone else if he continued to work there. Will Kurt find a place that accepts him?

The Unaware Atelier Meister feels like a mix of Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies, Moved to a Starter Town? and Banished from the Heroes Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside.
It was definitely one of the best fantasy anime's I saw this season. It's clean both visually and verbally. I would say its a great anime to start out with if you want to get into the fantasy anime genre. I would definitely recommend it.

Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit (Season 4)

Aoi, Hinata, Kaede, Kokona, and Honaka are back for another season. This time Aoi is determined to reach the summit of Mount Fuji. But Befor...
