Astarotte is the succubus princess to the realm of monsters. It is customary for a succubus to have a harem which Lotte has avoided to due her aversion to men. So after making a promise that she would have a harem if it was with humans, her advisor Judith travels to the realm of man where she is kicked in the face by a little girl jumping over the fence to their house. Naoya comes running out to apologize and upon finding out that Naoya is looking for a job, Judith immediately offers him a job and takes him to the realm of monsters. They find out quickly that Astarotte only said she would start a harem because she thought it was impossible to travel between realms. Will Naoya be able to connect with Lotte and prove that not all men are bad people?
I had previously avoided this anime because I learned had heard that it was ecchi. However, Astarotte's Toy is one of the cutest and most wholesome anime I have ever seen. There are quite a few panty jokes though. There is also a character named Effie who wears clothing that shows cleavage as well. Besides that everyone stays modest. The only thing that might concern people is the age gap between Astarotte and Naoya. However, age gaps have never bothered me so I really enjoyed this series. Astarotte's Toy actually reminded me of Star vs. The Forces of Evil at some points. It does swear around four times though. I would definitely suggest this if you are looking to take a break from the serious and more adult anime.
