Hell’s Paradise Season 2

Gabiru, Gantetsu, Nurugai, Yuzuriha, and Mei have decided to work with the Yamada Asaemon executioners to escape the island. Meanwhile The Shogunate have given up on the group of criminals that made it to the island. They decide to send in all the Iwagakure Ninja's they can find to Shinsenkyo along with four Yamada Asaemon Executioners. The Iwagakure, in exchange with working together with the Shogunate have been given permission to kill anyone they find on the island. Will Gabimaru and the other criminals be able to make it out alive?

Hell's Paradise Season 2 was absolutely crazy. After the first season I didn't think that there would be much left of the story, and in a sense I was right. A large portion of season 2 is just the characters getting into fights. The fights are cool, but without them, Season 2 probably would have only been about three or four episodes long. There are a lot of scenes where characters wear little to no clothing. This is mostly done by the Tensen and but you do see gantetsu and Yuzuriha shirtless. While the lewd scenes are important to the story, I still think they overdid it. If you don't like fighting or fan service, I would suggest skipping  this one. However, if you enjoyed Season 1, I would suggest giving it a watch.

Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling

One day he wakes up and everything is dark. Slowly a light starts to form and our main character finds out he has been reincarnated as a dragon egg. After fighting off monsters his abilities begin to grow and the egg hatches. He comes across some humans and believes he can befriend them, however, he is hunted instead. Though after falling down he is healed by a girl named Myria. After she runs toward her party, the dragon hears some screaming and learns that the humans ran into a rock dragon.  one was already dead, and the other two have almost run out of health points. Too weak to beat a rock dragon by himself, the dragon picks up Myria and brings her to the nearest village, where he is attacked. Unable to go back, the dragon finds a nearby cave and starts living life in the forest.

Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling took a different turn than I was expecting. After watching the first episode I thought it would turn into an anime similar to Beheneko. However, it felt more like an inferior version of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. There were no lewd scenes and it only swears here and there. If you like Isekai anime I would suggest giving it a try. Though it doesn't measure up to a some Isekai, it's still good as a way to pass the time.

Kunon the Sorcerer Can See

Kunon Gurion is a noble who bears the Hero's scar. Those who bear the Hero's scar are born missing something, in Kunon's case it was his eyesight. However, once he started learning magic, he became determined to create a new set of eyes that would allow him to see the world. It turns out that while he can't cast any attack magic his two basic spells can be manipulated in a number of ways. His creative mind allows him to rise up in the world and overcome each new challenge that is set before him.

Kunon the Sorcerer Can See is definitely a unique anime. It started out really interesting. A blind person using magic to learn to see was cool to me. However, slowly Kunon's personality gets worse and worse. The anime is free of any lewd scenes. I still believe it is worth giving a try, even if the latter half is a disaster. I think I would have enjoyed it more if the anime had focused on Kunon and his Fiancee Mirika.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2

Frieren, Fern, and Stark continue their journey. Now that Fern has been certified as a first-class mage the group heads for the Northern Plateau. On their way there Frieren comes across a crystal that nullifies magic. While it could be sold for a fortune Fern tells Frieren to abandon it as it would put their party in jeopardy if they were to be attacked. Later as they walk away the group falls into an underground cave full of magic nullifying crystals, making Stark the only one capable of fighting. After they leave they come across Wirbel's party, that they met during the First Class Mage Exam. Wirbel tries to recruit Stark to help protect the far north, but Stark declines. With a smile Wirbel says that he looks forward to meeting them again when they arrive in the Far North.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 was really fun to watch. The fights weren't as great as season 1, but the story and slice of life scenes completely made up for it. Though I wasn't expecting there to be lots of fights either, since Frieren: Beyond Journey's End isn't really about that. There is hot spring scenes, but they don't show anything below the shoulders. If you enjoyed Frieren Season 1, I would definitely suggest giving Season 2 a try.

Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord

Ever since her was two years old, Van Fertia was labeled as a prodigy for both his knowledge and his skill with the sword. His family was convinced that he would receive an aptitude for elemental magic and become a skilled warrior. However, what he received at the age of eight was an aptitude for production magic. Seeing the skill as useless, his father raised his sword to kill Van. Right before he acted, Van's older brother suggested sending him to an impoverished village to reign as its new lord. Van now exiled from his family home, traveled with no help from his family, only Van's personal maid, the head butler, the knight captain, and a slave that Van freed followed him to this new village. People were wary at first, but as Van used his magic, the village transformed into a safe and comfortable place to live.

Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord was a fun and relaxing anime. It felt similar to other anime that focus on a single place, such as Farming Life in Another World, Sweet Reincarnation, I'm a Noble On The Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic, as well as Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time. The language stays clean. There are a few bath scenes, but they don't particularly stand out. If you enjoy anime that focus on a character developing the place they live, I would definitely suggest watching it.

The Holy Grail of Eris

Constance Grail is from a viscount family that is broke. In an attempt to have the families debts paid off, Constance is engaged to the son of a merchant. However, Constance sees him kissing another girl before a party. The Grail family motto is "Be you sincere" and Constance embodies it perfectly. This caused Pamela to be jealous and frame her for stealing something she didn't. Just as it seemed all hope was lost, the ghost of a woman named Scarlett Castiel appears and clears Connie of any suspicion and pins the blame on Pamela. When Constance wakes up the next morning, Scarlett tells her that in exchange for getting out of the situation she was in, Constance will spend her life getting revenge on all the people who killed her 10 years ago. Will someone so softhearted be able to fulfill a vengeful ghosts wishes?

The Holy Grail of Eris was a lot more entertaining than I had previously imagined. I don't often watch revenge anime, but I thorougly enjoyed this one. I enjoyed that there are so many pieces to the puzzle that they were somehow able to solve in 12 episodes. While it doesn't have any lewd scenes, it does have a lot of crime involved. I would definitely suggest giving it a try.

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2

Kafka Hibino has been left alive thanks to the decision made by Kikoru Shinomiya's Father. However, in exchange they want to use him as a living weapon to fight of the increasing number of Kaiju. Kafka is reassigned to the First division since the third division's base was destroyed by the Yoju bomb. There he reconnects with Kikoru who has also been reassigned to the first division. Will Kafka be able to move up and keep his promise to fight by Mina Ashiro's side?

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 was really good. It was cool to see Kafka fight in a different division. You also get to learn a lot more about what goes on in the JAKDF. Kaiju No. 8 definitely deserves the popularity it has. Everyone dresses modestly in this season. There is some swearing throughout it though. I would definitely suggest giving it a try if you enjoyed Kaiju No. 8 Season 1.

Akame ga Kill!

Tatsumi is a boy from a rural village who dreams of making it rich in the capital to save his impoverished village. However, after getting separated from his friends he is given a warning  that the capital is full of monsters. Not the magical beasts that he's used to slaying, but humans with wicked hearts. After arriving at the capital and getting robbed, he runs into a young girl who offers to take him to her mansion where he can stay for awhile. It is there he runs into night raid. Night raid is a group of assassins that only attacks at night. When he asks them why they would kill an innocent girl they show him to a hidden room, where he finds out that those he thought were good are evil, and those he thought were evil are actually good. He is then scouted to be part of Night Raid. Can Tatsumi make it as an assassin, and right the wrongs plaguing this world?

Akame ga Kill was a far more intense anime than I had imagined. I think the reason for this is that most fantasy anime I am used to watching have a really lighthearted feeling. I have only seen a few dark fantasy and death game type anime. Though seeing as the main group is an organization of assassins, I should have expected there to be a lot of deaths. There are a couple beach episodes where the characters wear swimsuits, as well as a girl who wears clothes that expose her stomach. There is some swearing, but it doesn't happen too often. I think the anime is good and would definitely suggest giving it a watch if you enjoy anime that have a lot of fighting in it.

There was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her

When the Hero's Party go to defeat the demon lord, they first get to a demon named Yoki and are unable to beat him. Instead of killing the hero's like his subordinates suggested, he asks his subordinates to carry them back to the nearest village. The hero's continue to return only to be met with the same result. After about a month of this Yoki says that he'll let the hero's party past him if they leave behind their priestess. Reluctantly they agree. It is then that Yoki confesses his love. Unfortunately Cecilia turns him down. The Demon Lord is defeated, and the Demon Lord's army gets disbanded. Yoki decides to rip off his wings and horn and go into the city of minerva as a human. He then becomes an adventurer to pay for his needs.

There was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her was a really cute and fun anime. I really liked the balance between adventuring and romantic interactions between the characters. Everyone dresses modestly and the language is clean.  I would definitely suggest it if you enjoy fantasy anime with a focus on adventuring.

Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You Season 3

Sawako and Shota are finally dating. The relationship progresses smoothly. One day, while Sawako and Shota are walking home together, they hold hands. Just as that happens Sawako's mother sees them and invites Shota to have dinner with their family. While Sawako's mom is excited that she finally has a boyfriend, Sawako's Dad isn't pleased. Though he tries to be welcoming in his own way. After that Shota invites Sawako to meet his family. While it seems like everything has finally been resolved, will things continue to go as smoothly as they are now?

I enjoyed this season of Kimi Ni Todoke a lot more than season 1 & 2. Not only do you get to see Sawako and Shota finally go on dates, but you learn more about Ayane, Chizu, Kento, and Ryu as well. Kurumi didn't even show up, which makes sense since there's no point to her character anymore, since Sawako and Shota are dating. I haven't been emotionally invested in this series for the last two seasons, however, I cried a lot during this season. There are a few bath scenes, but the anime remains mostly wholesome. The language is clean as well. I would definitely suggest giving it a watch if you enjoyed Seasons 1 & 2.
