Miya Nakamura was raised in a small home by her single mother. When her mother became sick, Miya worked various jobs to make sure she could be taken care of. After her mother died, Miya was taken in by the Kounakuras, a wealthy and prestigious family. Miya feared that she might not be accepted because she is Mr. Kounakura's illegitimate child. However, Marika, Arisa, and Teru Kounakura treat Miya as though she were truly part of the family. Not only do they treat Miya as an equal, but they also help her adapt to her new life by teaching her how to read and write, do mathematics, and understand the rules and traditions necessary to fit into high society.
My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren't Wicked was really good. The anime initially makes you feel like you're going to experience a Cinderella scenario, but what you get is the complete opposite. It's a great slice-of-life anime about treating others with love and respect and how doing so can lead to wonderful experiences and memories.
While the anime is wholesome overall, there are a few bath scenes as well as a beach episode. However, the characters don't wear revealing swimsuits at the beach, and the bath scenes only show the characters from the head and shoulders up. Because of this, I wouldn't consider it an anime with lewd scenes. The language is kept clean as well. I would definitely suggest giving it a try.
