Yuke Feldio was in an A-rank adventuring party known as Thunder Pike. However, after being mistreated by his adventuring companions he leaves his party. It isn't long after that he runs into a student he taught named Marina who after hearing he isn't part of a party anymore invites him to join her party. After talking with the rest of the group he agrees to join and be the party's leader. They decide on the name Clover for their party because there are four of them. While they may be at the lowest rank for now Clover's sense of teamwork will surely raise their rank.
I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! was better than I was expecting. Usually the trope is somebody getting kicked out of their party, but Yuke leaves voluntarily. While it's similar to the common trope, I believe this feels a little more realistic. I also think that Simon is probably the best antagonist in the banished from the hero's party trope since the hero in Beast Tamer. Both antagonist give you a feeling of satisfaction after they are beaten. The anime is mostly clean with a few hot spring scenes and a lake scene as well. If you like fantasy anime, I would definitely suggest watching this one.
