200 years before Bilbo Baggins obtained the ring of power, there was Rohan. In Rohan there was a girl named Hera who spent her days riding her horse and training with the sword. Some called her wild and free, but the king loved her all the same. Hera was the daughter of Helm Hammerhand, king of Rohan. One day while he is meeting with those loyal to him a noble named Frecka approaches him with his son Wulf. Frecka suggests that rather than marrying Hera off to a noble in Gondor, that he should strengthen Rohan by having Hera marry his son Wulf. Not willing to give her up yet, and knowing that Frecka's true purpose is obtaining the throne of Rohan, Helm challenges him. After hitting Frecka once, Helm ends up killing him. It is then that Wulf promised to avenge his father by killing off everyone in the royal family. Will Rohan be able to survive the war that Wulf has promised?
I enjoyed The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim a lot more than I expected. Though it was animated it kept the feel of the original movies. The Music, voice acting, and animation were all absolutely amazing. I liked how this movie took place in the past because you get insight into how a few of the places, people, and events in the lord of the rings came to be. The language is clean in The War of the Rohirrim. There is also no fan service. If you get the chance to watch it I would definitely suggest giving a watch.
