Masamune Izumi has just finished his current manga series silver wolf reincarnation. However, it is not popular enough to keep paying for his current living arrangement. He currently lives with his little stepsister who spends her days locked in her room. Masamune brings her meals in hopes that she will one day come out and they can talk. Meanwhile people are wondering who Masamune's illustrator Eromanga sensei actually is. Masamune tells them that he's never met the guy. It isn't until he goes and watches a stream of Eromanga sensei that he learns their identity. While Eromanga Sensei is wearing a mask, you can see in the background the meal that Masamune had made for his little sister Sagiri. What will become of the siblings now that Masamune knows Eromanga Sensei's secret identity?
Eromanga Sensei was a pretty fun watch. It felt different from other anime's that focus on the love between siblings. It kind of has a similar feel to Onimai: I'm Now Your Sister, in that both siblings become closer thanks to new circumstances. While Sagiri remains a shut in she is still able to make new friends using skype and with the people that Masamune brings over. Masamune is also able to make new friends as he tries to make a new light novel and finds out authors to consult with. The warm feeling I got from this anime, had me smiling from beginning to end. While there are quite a few ecchi scenes its mainly girls in swimsuits. There is a bath scene, but all you see is Sagiri's head. There are also two beach episodes, and the art that Sagiri draws. If seeing girls in swimsuits is too much for you then don't watch it. However, it has a good story and is probably the most interesting anime I have seen where the anime focuses on an author as the main character. I would definitely suggest it, though I understand it's not for everyone.
