Masamune Okumura is the president and only member of his high school manga club. He mainly spent his days watching anime and reading manga of his favorite character Liliel. One day a new freshman walks into the manga club and asks to be a member. Okumura assumes that she's the type that is only interested in shoujo manga and wants to show her that that's not the type of club the manga club is. However, the more he talks with her, the more he finds out that their interests align perfectly. After accepting her into the club, Ririsa lets him now that she has always wanted to cosplay and even has a costume that she wants to show him. When she finishes changing it feels like Ririsa had brought Liliel into the real world. After seeing her cosplay, Okumura becomes her photographer and they sign up for their first event.
2.5 Dimensional Seduction was a pretty good anime. I haven't really seen any other anime's where cosplay is featured. So an anime completely about cosplay was a new concept to me. It won't be the best anime you'll ever see, but I definitely enjoyed watching it. Something cool about this anime is you get to see both Ririsa Amano and Masamune Okumura grow as people. A lot of anime characters don't change, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, seeing them grow made me want to cheer them on even if neither one realizes that they have romantic feelings for each other. There are a lot of scenes of the girls undressing and changing into costume, but nothing dirty really happens in the anime. Overall, if you like the slice of life genre I think that 2.5 Dimensional Seduction is worth watching.
