Date A Live Season 5

After learning about Kurumi Tokisaki's past, Shido calls all the spirits to Fraxinus to tell them about her true intentions. After talking together, one of Kurumi's clones shows up and warns them that there will be a war where DEM will send out all their forces in an attempt to kill Shido so Isaac Westcott can gain his spirit power. Using the power of beelzebub, Isaac is aware that Kurumi has been going back in time each time DEM has attacked to prevent Shido from dying. He intents to use this to his advantage to see how much more Kurumi is actually able to handle. However, thanks to Kurumi's warning, Ratatoskr intends to use all their resources in stopping DEM. Will Shido and his friends actually be able to stop them?

Date A Live has been one of my favorite series since I started watching anime. I also believe it to be in the top three best harem anime's I have seen. The other two being The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You and The World God Only Knows. However, the majority of this season felt really slow. While it did answer questions that were left unanswered in previous seasons, that wasn't enough to make me want to watch more than two episodes at a time. Were the episodes not fully out I might have dropped it. I think the spirit of origin as a character bothered me. Also in the past a new spirit was introduced every three to four episodes. Though why they didn't do that this season was clear. I think Miku and Origami definitely carried the season for me, though my appreciation for Kurumi grew a great deal as well. There were quite a few beach episodes throughout this season as well as a hot springs episode. Though for the majority of the beach scenes the characters wore regular clothes rather than swimsuits. Overall, if you have kept up with the series so far I would suggest giving it the three episode rule to see if you enjoy it.

Re:Monster

After being stabbed over and over Tomokui Kanata wakes up side by side next to a group of goblin babies. It doesn't take him long to realize he has been reincarnated as a goblin and given the name Gobrou. He learns that goblins grow by evolving. So with the help of of his friend Gobkichi he manages to catch bigger monsters than what would have been possible on his own. He has another secret, and that is his ability to gain the skills of whatever monster he eats from his past life stayed with him. It is only a few days until he is made the leader of the Goblin village. While he has the ability to obtain unlimited strength, will he be able to save everyone?

Re:Monster was very interesting to watch. When I heard that it was about a goblin that gains monsters abilities by eating them I was expecting it to be like Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest. However, it turned out to be more like a mix of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Redo of Healer. While it never shows anything on the level of Redo of Healer it doesn't hide what Gobrou is doing with the ladies either. In other words you hear the girls moaning, but the scene is blocked as if they are in a private room and all you see is the door. Besides that Gobrou's goal is just to help his friends get stronger. When they successfully do this they make their own Mercenary group called Parabellum. There are some things to be aware of like hot spring scenes in episodes 6 and 11, as well as loose clothing that exposes a lot of skin which isn't uncommon in Isekai anime's. Overall, I thought it was a unique story and worth the watch.

BLUELOCK THE MOVIE -EPISODE NAGI-

Seishiro Nagi had no ambition. All he wanted to do was spend his time playing videogames. That is until he met Reo Mikage. Reo accidentally bumps into Nagi which causes him to drop his game console. Not wanting it to break he jumps off the school stairs and manages to catch it with his foot. After seeing this Reo asks Nagi to play soccer with him. While he rejects the offer multiple times, Nagi finally gives in. Reo tells Nagi of his dream to be the best soccer player in the world. However, his parents would rather have him inherit their company. So they have them play against one of the best high school soccer teams in Japan. But rather than lose like they wanted him to, Reo, Nagi, and their team manage to win. There also happened to be another person watching that day. After seeing them play she recruits them to participate in Bluelock. The goal of Bluelock is to find the greatest striker in japan. Will Reo and Nagi be able to continue their undefeated record?

Bluelock The Movie -Episode Nagi- was so good. I didn't know anything about Bluelock except that it was about soccer, so I had a vague image of what to expect. However, Episode Nagi far surpassed my expectations. It starts by introducing the characters rather than throwing you into it, so watching the first season prior to it doesn't matter which was an upside for me. It also starts at a high school giving it a familiar feel. Not only was the animation impressive, but the story kept me on the edge of my seat as well. Another plus was that the characters didn't feel cringey. Nagi in particular felt relatable to me which made me want to see him succeed. Overall,  if you are wondering about watching it or not, I would definitely suggest giving it a try.
