One night while Kanata is with his childhood friend, Marika, they see a shooting star. After realizing that he's very unpopular, Kanata wishes that he could tell how much girls like him, like in a dating simulator. The next day he wakes up and he can see all the girl's love meter's. However, when he looks at Marika's it's like everything is draining out. Kanata believes this must be because she hates him. However, Marika loves Kanata so much that it can't be measured. Will Marika and Kanata be able to get together, or will misunderstandings keep them apart?
Marika's Love Meter Malfunction was pretty entertaining for an anime where the episodes are only five minutes long. There are multiple beach scenes, a bath scene, as well as other ecchi tropes like Marika only wearing an apron as she cooks in the kitchen. If you don't like ecchi anime, you can skip over this one. If lewd scenes don't both you, then it might be worth a try.
