Kaguya-sama: Love is War

Shuchiin Academy is a school where only the most skilled and resourceful people attend. The amount of children from rich families attending is prominent. However, Miyuki Shirogane has managed to get to the top despite coming from a poorer background. He is attracted to Kaguya Shinomiya, and both share the same overall goal, to make the other person confess their love for them. Will they be able to come together as a couple, or will their refusal to give in just cause problems, watch and find out.

Kaguya-sama is a pretty wholesome show. It is entertaining to see how misunderstandings arise because of the way that something is worded, or someone walks into the room in the middle of a conversation so they don't know the context. The way they dress is modest except the beach episode. It only swears a few times.  

Infinite Stratos

New technology known as Infinite Stratos has spread throughout the world. These robotic suits were thought to only be used by women, that is until Ichika Orimura moves one at his high school entrance exam. After being seen, he is sent to Infinite Stratos Academy, a school full of girls who have already spent years trying to master their IS. Will Ichika be able to catch up?

Their are a lot of inappropriate scenes in this where the girls body are partially or fully exposed. Scenes include panty shots, opened button up shirts, revealing swimsuits, etc. There is also a lot of swearing. The one thing that bothers me is that Ichika always gets beat up even though the girls say or do something embarrassing. Obviously that is not the case all the time. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it wouldn't be my first choice either.

The Ones Within OVA

The Ones Within group go through a series of activities that involve camping, going to the pool, switching bodies, sports day festival, etc.  See how the groups relationship changes as they go through more antics together.

This episode was clean. Everyone was dressed modestly, and there was no swearing. I hoonosstly would suggest this episode because it gives you an idea of how the characters would react in common situations that you see in anime like going to the pool, and attending a sports day festival.

IS: Infinite Stratos Encore: A Sextet Yearning for Love

It's finally summer break and charlotte has heard that Ichika will be at home for the day. Shortly after she is invited inside Cecilia arrives ruining what she thought would be a day alone with Ichika. At night Ichika visits Houki as she is working at the shrine. She tries to go on a walk with him but is interrupted when they run into Ran who claims she is looking for her brother. Will any of the girls get the time they want with Ichika?

This episode of Infinite Stratos is completely clean. It also keeps the humor from the regular series. In my opinion I would suggest giving it a try if you liked the regular series.

The Ones Within

After getting a mysterious message pops up on their computers Akatsuki Iride and other gaming streamers are transported to a mysterious Island to participate in a game show called The Ones Within -Genome-. A man with an alpaca mask greets them and tells them that he will be their host as they play various games with the goal of trying to reach one hundred million views. 

The Ones within is mostly clean. There are two or three hot springs scenes. there is also a lot of swearing. Overall I thought that the show was pretty funny. It is also unique in that it is a survival game sort of like Battle Game in 5 Seconds, but death is not really a concern. The punishments are more along the line of having more vegetables in your meals, with the worst being imprisonment.

THE LAST SUMMONER

After making the perfect bowl of Ramen, Ah Jie who had lived a fairly normal life summons a spirit who devours his Ramen and desires to make a contract with him. While Ah Jie rejects the idea at first, he creates a contract with Dora. They are greeted by a plant monster soon after and learn that the summoning world is a lot bigger they thought it was.

This anime is completely clean. There is no swearing and no immodesty. The characters are entertaining and the story draws you in. I would definitely suggest it if you like anime's about summoners and Tamers.

After growing up hearing stories of heroes from his grandfather, Bell Cranel moves to Orario in hopes of becoming an adventurer. However, most familia's are only looking for adventurers that are high level already. Hope seems lost until Bell runs into Hestia who takes him into her care. After being attacked by a minotaur Bell is saved by a girl named Ais Wallenstein. He then makes it his goal to become as strong as he can so that he can stand by her side.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon was super enjoyable. Its an anime where you just want too keep on watching. However there are a few episodes that involve hot springs so you see girls with towels on or fully undressed. There is also a lot of swearing as well. However, I would definitely suggest it if you are a fan of Isekai and Fantasy anime.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? III: Is It Wrong to Try to Find a Hot Spring in Orario? -Bath God Forever-

After Miach and Naaza plan to build a public bathhouse, a building claiming to be a natural hot spring pops up before they can finish stealing the credit. However, the floor below the new hot spring doesn't have any water source whatsoever. In search of an answer to where the water is actually coming from members of the Hermes, Miach, and Hestia familia's come up with a plan to figure it out. But, will everything actually go according to plan?

The majority of this episode the girls are covered in towels. However, there is a part where Naaza and the others are showered with a liquid that only melts your clothes. So their skin starts to get exposed as their clothes slowly disappear. There is some swearing but not much. Overall if you don't mind hot spring scenes the story was pretty good. 

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? II: Is It Wrong to Go Searching for Herbs on a Deserted Island?

After getting a request from Miach The Hestia Familia go to paradise Island to find some herbs. They hear about something called the everything flower, which allows you to make any wish come true. However, after searching for the flower one by one all of Bell Cranel's friends become brainwashed. Will Bell be able to save them, or will he meet the same fate? 

The entire episode is the female characters in their swimsuits. You also see Ryu and Mikoto take off their clothes as they walk into a lake. It also shows Lily shirtless as the girls are preparing for a swimsuit contest. However, I don't believe there was any swearing, so that is good. Overall it was kind of weird compared to the other content of the series, but it was still enjoyable. 

Ao-chan Can't Study!

Up until her senior year of high school Ao-chan has ignored people to focus on studying so she can graduate and move far away. However, a boy named Takumi Kijima starts talking to her. She ignores him at first and dubs him king of the normies. As time goes on she develops feelings for him and falls behind in her studies. while she does want to get closer to him, she grew up with a family that has a different definition of love than most high schoolers. Will things work out between the two?

I only heard it swear two times in all the episodes, so the language is pretty clean. However, this is a very lewd anime. every episode has something like having girls chest be exposed or panty shots. Ao-chan's dad always tries to move things forward with methods like lifting Ao's shirt up with a fishing rod while she is talking with Kijima or putting in his "special sauce" when she makes lunch for him. This often leads to inappropriate scenes. 

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion

After a day of adventuring Bell, Welf, Lily, and Hestia decide to go to a festival. It is there that they see Hermes requesting people to pull a spear out of the ground, and whoever manages to lift it gets to go on a trip around the world. While Bell did manage to pull it out, his party learns that it was all a rouse and Hermes was actually looking for backup in a quest to defeat a monster that has been terrorizing villages outside of Orario. Will Bell be able to save the city or Orario as well as his friends? Watch and see.

The movie was pretty good. I didn't notice any swearing in this one. However, there was another hot spring scene. So you do see Artemis without any clothes on from the back, it then switches to her having a towel on. 

Sword Oratoria: Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side

During the incident at Monsterphila when Freya let the monsters into the city, a new monster showed up that no one had seen before. Loki approaches Freya to complain that her familia are the only ones that got hurt. However, they find out that the monster that hurt them was not released by Freya. After further investigation, the Loki familia realizes that this is a lot larger problem than they had anticipated. Watch as they hunt monsters to save Orario from danger.

Sword Oratoria takes place during the same time season one does. The only difference is rather than following the exploits of Bell Cranel it shows what the Loki familia was doing during that time. So you do see events overlap but overall it is a pretty unique season. There is some swearing, and there are moments when you do see girls dressed inappropriately like when they are at a hot spring in the dungeon, or just the outfit that Tione wears. 

Clannad

There was very little Tomoya Okazaki liked about the city he lived in. While he felt that life had not necessarily been fair, that all changed when he meets a repeat student named Nagisa Furukawa. He decides to help her with her dream of bringing the theater club back after it shut down. They grow even closer when they start to help a girl named Fuko Ibuki who spends all her time creating starfish sculptures and hands them out in hopes that people will come to her sisters wedding. Will everything work out like they hope?

Clannad can be hard to watch at first but at the latter half of the anime it becomes easier. nobody dresses inappropriately in this anime.  However, there is quite a bit of swearing. Overall if you are starting out I would not suggest it, but if you find that slice of life is something you like I would give it a watch. 

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Is It Wrong to Expect a Hot Spring in a Dungeon?

When Bell and his friends are wandering around the dungeon, Hestia throws a rock at a wall and it breaks revealing a giant hot spring. The adventurers decide that it would be a good idea to refresh themselves and even use it to heal their wounds from fighting monsters. The situation looks absolutely perfect, but is it really a good idea to wander in despite knowing nothing about the area?

There was some monster hunting in this but the majority of the time was focused on the newly discovered hot spring. So the girls are dressed in swimsuits most of the episode. You do see Hestia's swimsuit break, and her chest get fully revealed. So if you are not okay with fan service I would suggest skipping this episode. However, it kept the charm of the series with the monster hunting and the dynamic between the characters. I believe it only swears once or twice.

The Eminence in Shadow

Cid Kagenou had always sought for power. He even desired to withstand a nuclear bomb which he understood was impossible until he got sent to another world. However, he didn't want to be the one in the spotlight, Cid wanted to be the one behind the scenes pulling the strings. So he created Shadow Garden an organization that takes in cursed individuals, heals them, and then uses them to take down the organization known as The Cult of Diablo.

The Eminence in Shadow was absolutely fantastic in my opinion. However, there is some swearing throughout it. There are also a number of scenes where you see girls dressed immodestly or completely naked. However nothing romantic happens it is usually due because their clothing got sliced up or the magic they use to dress themselves is being drained. There is also a hot springs scene. 

Date A Bullet: Dead or Bullet & Nightmare or Queen

Kurumi Tokisaki gets transferred to another world with no information of how she got there or why. After meeting a girl named Hibiki she finds out that there is a game set up where the whole purpose is to slaughter each other. There is a prize though, whoever is the last one standing gets any wish they want granted.

This movie was actually really clean. There were no inappropriate outfits or any swearing at all. My advice is to watch this right before you watch the fourth season because it helps lead up to the final arc in the season where we learn about Kurumi and Shido's competition. 

Date A Live: Mayuri Judgement

After attending Miku's concert and after party Shido notices a giant orb floating in the sky. However, its not visible to anyone else. Using Fraxinus's technology Kotori and the others are able to figure out that it is a mix of everyone's spirit energy. So to solve this problem the Fraxinus's team asks shido to go on a one on one date with each of the spirits. Will their tactic work to bring things back to normal?

I honestly thought this was really good. It only swears once. There is a shower scene, as well as the girls in bikini's when they go to the pool after Miku's concert. You also see their outline when they change into their spirit armor but that part is censored.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Makoto Konno felt like she was getting all the bad luck until one day she trips and gains the ability to leap through time. She uses this power to change little day to day things like making it possible to eat pudding in the fridge before her sister can. However, Makoto soon learns that even the littlest changes that you make in the past can drastically affect what happens in the future. Will Makoto be able to fix all the changes she's made, only time will tell.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time was pretty clean. It only swears a few times, and nobody is dressed inappropriately throughout it. You do see Makoto in the bath a few times, but her body is completely immersed in the water. It was difficult for me to watch just because it felt very repetitive. I think it is still a unique way to express time travel, traveling back every few days, rather than traveling to different time periods like you are used to,

Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION

The majority of Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION is basically a recap of the first season of the show. There is a bit of a new story where Kirito and his friends accept an underwater quest because Yui had said that she would like to ride a whale. The quest ends up being incredibly simple grab a pearl from the inside of an abandoned ruin type building where thieves have taken it. 

The Movie wasn't bad. However, in my personal opinion I am not a fan of movies that are mainly clips from the show. It only swears once or twice, however, the majority of the movie has the girls in swimsuits as they are teaching Suguha to swim while Kirito explains what happened in SAO and ALO. You also see Asuna in her underwear as well as with her clothes ripped apart as it is recapping events from the first season. So if you are not a fan of fan service I would say to avoid this one since it doesn't really add anything to the series.

The Irregular at Magic High School: Reminiscence Arc

 

As Miyuki, Minami, and Tatsuya go on a trip they reflect on a trip they went on three years ago. Watch and see how Tatsuya and Miyuki go from having a business type relationship to one of true siblings. It also answers the question of what happened three years ago in Okinawa that is mentioned throughout the series. You also get to see how Tatsuya became affiliated with the military.

I think that this movie did a great job on showing us the history of Miyuki and Tatsuya. It only swears once throughout the movie. It stayed pretty clean for the most part, however, there is a scene that shows Miyuki in the shower. Overall I would say give it a go if you are considering watching the series, and if you have already watched the series, it still is enjoyable. 

Children Who Chase Lost Voices

Asuna spent most of her time alone on a mountain working on creating her own radio. However, one day as she is on her way there she meets a boy named Shun who saves her from a monster. Shortly after Shun is reported as dead. Asuna is then chased to Agarth where Shun came from and goes on a journey to help a man named Morisaki as well as to find her own reason for coming.

I have mixed feelings about this one. The movie wasn't bad, but I was hoping for a different ending. The language is clean throughout the movie, it also stays pretty modest. You do see Asuna in the bath while she is in one of the villages in Agarth, however, all you see is her back as well as a child of the village that she saved. Overall it wasn't my favorite, but I would say to still watch it if it is something you are interested in.

Lu Over the Wall

Kai Ashimoto lives in a small town known mainly for its fishing. There are rumors among the townsfolk that mermaids live nearby and should be feared. After playing music in his room Kai meets Lu a mermaid that has been drawn in by his music and wants to be everyone's friend. Can Kai and his friends help to make the town accept Lu so that everyone can be friends?

The language in the anime is completely clean. The dress stays modest as well. I would definitely suggest this one if you like anime about music and friendship. A lot of anime I wouldn't suggest to play around kids but I think that this one definitely is. It has the charm you see in Disney movies. However, there is a part where Lu bites a dog and it turns into a mermaid which could be scary.

Bubble

It's been five years since bubbles started falling from the sky all over the world. However, even after they all disappeared in other countries they stayed in the city of Tokyo causing gravity anomalies. While Tokyo was closed off to the public, some people went in there anyway and used the gravity anomalies to have parkour competitions. 

This is a really cute movie. The language is pretty clean. I think I only heard it swear around five times. I was not as focused on it this time though. The dress is completely modest throughout the whole thing. If you like the romance genre I would definitely suggest this. Even if you are not a fan, it is still cool watching the parkour competitions they have throughout the movie.  

My Neighbor Totoro

When Mei and Satsuki Kusakabe move to an old house, they believe it is haunted as they start to see creatures like dust bunnies. One day Mei finds a creature that looks like a rabbit and follows it into the forest where she meets Totoro. As Mei, Satsuki, and Totoro continue to meet they show us what it means to be a true friend.

This movie is incredibly cute. There is a scene where Mei, Satsuki, and their dad are all in the bath but you don't see anything inappropriate. There is also no swearing in the movie. I would definitely suggest it because it is good for kids as well as adults.

Lycoris Recoil

It has always been Takina Inoue's dream to be part of DA as a member of the Lycoris, an elite group of girls who protect the city. However, after disobeying orders to try and save a comrade, she is kicked out of the organization and moved to a Cafe called LycoReco where a former Lycoris known as Chisato works. Takina soon finds out that this is no ordinary cafe. Cafe LycoReco accepts all kinds of requests from being tour guides to babysitting. Will Takina accept her new surroundings or continue to do whatever it takes to get back to DA?

Lycoris Recoil was really good. It was what I had imagined Classroom of the Elite was going to be like before I watched it, lots of guns and lots of fighting. It only swears a few times, and it is modest for the most part. There are two parts where the girls stomachs are exposed and that is at the beginning when they are doing their physicals, and at the end of the series when they are at the beach.

Blade Dance of the Elementalers

In this world there those who possess the power to contract spirits. It was thought that only women were able to control them. However, Kamito Kazehaya also has this power and has been summoned to a school that teaches girls how to master this power. The principle has a very special request for him. Win the blade dance or the competition where Elementalers show their power and fight each other to become the best. 

Blade Dance of the Elementalers has a lot of fan service. in fact the opening scene is Kamito walking in on a girl while she's bathing, similar to Chivalry of a Failed Knight and The Asterisk War. A lot of the scenes involve clothing that exposes the chest and characters getting caught fully undressed. This is also one of those anime's where the characters are insecure about their chest size. The swearing isn't too terrible but it happen quite a bit. 

Reincarnated as a sword

A man is reincarnated after dying on earth. But rather than being a hero with unimaginable power, he wakes up to find that he has taken the form of a sword. All alone in the desert he desires for a companion to wield him, and spends his time killing monsters to help him get stronger for when that time comes. After a while he gets stuck in the ground and comes across Fran who is running away from a monster. Using his telepathy he calls out to her and she becomes his wielder. After Fran uses him to kill the monster she names him teacher because he promised her he would help her get stronger.

This was a really cute anime about a girl who after being resented for so long has the desire to become strong so she can show others of her kind that they can be strong too. It is completely clean. I believe that it only swears once. There is a hot springs scene, however, Fran is covered by teacher as she takes him with her. She is stopped shortly after by the guild receptionist who tells her that weapons aren't allowed. Besides that there is no immodesty.

Kiki's Delivery Service

For generations there has been a tradition that when a witch turns thirteen they set out on their own and train for a year to master an area of magic. However, when Kiki turns thirteen the only thing that she has been able to grasp is how to fly. So After meeting a baker who takes her in, she decides to make a delivery service. Watch as Kiki uses her skills to serve others.

Kiki's Delivery Service was cute and teaches a lesson about how there is always a way that we can help others. The language was clean and all the characters were dressed modestly.

Between the Sky and the Sea

After all the fish on earth went missing, people decided that they should breed fish in space. For the last ten years men have been using space ships to go fishing. Until one day there is an announcement that six girls will be trained to go into space and fish. However, a lot of people have come to see this as a job that only men can do. so the girls are only supported by a few people. Can they become skilled enough to catch up to the boys who have been doing it the last ten years and become official space fishermen?

This anime is one that was hard to watch for me. The main reason was that Namino's personality really bugged me until the last three or four episodes. However, it was a pretty clean anime. It only swears once or twice. They do spend a lot of time in the water, but the majority of the time they are wearing one piece swimsuits. the only times that they aren't is when Haru and Maiko are bathing together, and in the last episode when they go to the beach in bikinis.
