Ryo Mihara is reincarnated to another world where his only wish is to live a quiet life. So, he is sent into a forest with a few months of food and the ability to use water magic. While he starts with almost no power, he quickly becomes more skilled the more he practices. He even meets a dullahan who teaches him how to use a sword. a little while later a ship crashes near the forest where Ryo is living. That's when he saves an adventurer named Abel. While Abel questions Ryo's origins, he teaches him about different things about the world, and even takes him on a journey to a town named Lune. Together they defeat hordes of monsters and use their mana crystals to fund Ryo's new life as an Adventurer.
The Water Magician was pretty good, though there were parts that felt slow to me. I also was disappointed with the ending. The fight between two powerful magicians could have been absolutely amazing, but instead it was pretty disappointing. I think that The Water Magician had the potential to be a lot better than it was. However, I do believe it's worth watching if you enjoy isekai anime.
