Everybody is anxious about the marriage practical, hoping they can be paired up with their love interest. Unfortunately for Jiro Yakuin rather than being paired with his childhood friend and crush Shiori Sakurazaka he is paired with the high school gyaru, Akari Watanabe. Both are unhappy with the result and they come to find out that both their love interests have been paired together. Looking at the rules Jiro learns that if both pairs can get in the top ten in the practical they can switch partners. Akari and Jiro agree to help each other to reach this goal. Can Akari and Jiro pretend to be compatible enough to reach their goal?
More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers has a cute storyline. However, there are a lot of scenes where Akari wears revealing clothing. you never see them fully undressed, but there is a beach episode along with a hot springs scene. You also see Akari in her underwear a few times. There is swearing, but I would say it is once or twice per episode. While it does have bad parts I do want a season two because the last episode seemed unresolved as you don't figure out whether Jiro and Akari switch partners or not.
