Dad is a Hero, Mom is a Spirit, I'm a Reincarnator

Rovel is the hero who saved his country from countless monster attacks years ago. However, he has been gone in the spirit world for about ten years. It is there that he married the queen of spirits and had a daughter named Ellen. Now Rovel and Ellen wander the streets disguised with hoods up. Because of how famous the hero is they are easily spotted. Many people desire the hero's return. but Rovel isn't to eager to return to his family in the Vankreif domain. It isn't until Ellen convinces him that they finally go back. Now Ellen gets to meet her grandparents on her father's side, and Rovel has to face his past.

Dad is a Hero, Mom is a Spirit, I'm a Reincarnator is a lot more fun than I was expecting. Ellen possesses the power to manipulate the elements, which she learned during her time on earth. Her power kind of reminds me of farma from Parallel World Pharmacy. the anime doesn't have any fan service or any swearing. If you enjoy slow life type anime, I would suggest giving it a try.

Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota

Oota is constantly confused when he is around Kashiwada, because she always remains expressionless. However, Kashiwada can always tell what Oota is thinking because his face gives it away. So Oota makes it his job to try and get a reaction out of Kashiwada by playing harmless pranks on her. With the help of his friends Tadoko and Sata, Kashiwada and Oota slowly grow closer to one another.

I really enjoyed Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota. However, I can understand why some people wouldn't. Oota is far from the most charming main character you'll see in anime. His personality irked me at the beginning of the first episode. But the romantic moments between Kashiwada and Oota made me grow to love the characters and the show more and more with each episode. Kashiwada kind of remind me of Reina Aharen from Aharen-san wa Hakarenai. She helps give the show a calming effect. While there is a beach episode and a pool scene, the anime remains clean and wholesome. I would definitely suggest giving it a try if you like Romance anime.

May I Ask for One Final Thing?

Scarlett El Vandimion is a very imortant person to the royal family. So much so that her betrothal to the second prince was arranged before she was even born. However during a ball he publicly announces that he is calling off their engagement. Now that she is a free woman she decides to beat up the prince, his new Fiancée, and all of the nobles part of the second prince faction who are attending the ball. Rumors spread far and wide of her viciousness. How will she react now that her reputation is starting to change?

May I Ask for One Final Thing? was an interesting anime. There is something satisfying about seeing Scarlett punch jerks. However, I think it could've been even better if the first prince didn't tease Scarlett so much. I kind of wish she had punched him more times than she actually did. But overall it was very fun to watch. There was a hot springs scene, but besides that everyone dresses modestly. There is quite a bit of swearing though. The relationship between Scarlett and Terenezza did feel a bit similar to the relationship between Aileen Lauren Dautriche  and Lilia Rainworth in I'm the villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss. There are other resemblances of course, but explaining would spoil too much of the story. I would definitely suggest it if you enjoy anime with the villainess theme. 

My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, I'm Out for Revenge!

Light was just a boy from the countryside who wanted to become an adventurer. However, discrimination against humans by the other races made it impossible to find a party. One day he is approached by a party called the Concord of Tribes. They claim that there goal is to stop discrimination by having one member from each race in their party and they would like Light to represent the humans. However, one day while traversing a dungeon they suddenly attack light and prepare to kill him. However, he gets caught up in a transportation trap and ends up at the bottom of the abyss. It is there he uses his gift to summon a maid that is level 9999 and together they start his plan for revenge.

I really enjoyed this one. I don't typically watch revenge anime so the only thing I can compare it to is Redo of healer, that is if redo of healer didn't have any fan service. There is some swearing in it, but the anime is clean from any inappropriate content. If you enjoy Fantasy anime then it might be worth a try.

Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!

Melphiera Marchalrayd loves eating monsters. However, eating monsters is looked down upon in the marchalrayd domain. Thanks to this she was given the nickname "The Voracious Villainess". So when it came time for her to look for a husband, nobody of any status would consider her as a potential wife. One day while she was at a party she was about to be attacked by a monster when she was saved by Aristide Galbraith who is known as "The Blood-Mad Duke". After talking, they are surprised to find out that they both share an interest in monsters. Aristide Galbraith then goes and asks Melphiera to be his betrothed. She gratefully accepts and heads to the Gabraith lands along with the Duke and the Galbraith knights.

Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! was really fun to watch. It kind of felt like a mix of 7th Time Loop and Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill. It has a nice mix of romance and cooking. There is no fan service or swearing. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai

After dying, Takeru meets with a God who tells him that he will be sent to another world called Madeus. The God wants Takeru to stop civilizations from collapsing. In exchange he is willing to give Takeru gifts to help him survive in this new world. Things like a cute partner, knowledge of all languages in the world, and a search skill that allows him to identify anything he looks at. With these skills, Takeru wants a slow life in this new world where he can take things at his own pace. However, not everything always goes how he expects it to,

A Gatherers Adventure in Isekai wasn't particularly special. There are plenty of other isekai anime that are more captivating. While the anime does have the Adventurer trope, Takeru doesn't use the typical spells you see throughout the fantasy anime genre. He also doesn't automatically know magic, but has to figure it out on his own, which felt unique to me. If you like Isekai anime, you may want to give it a try, but it probably won't be the best anime you've seen so far. 

Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family!

Alma Kamisato is a robot built by Suzume Yobane and Enji Kamisato. One day after doing tests on Alma's fighting capabilities she starts to call Enji "Dad" and Suzume "Mom". Thinking that it could be a good way to hide from other scientists, Enji suggests that the three of them do start acting like a family. Thus begins a story about an Advanced Learning Artificial Intelligence Robot and her adventures to help her grow up.

Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! was definitely my favorite anime this season. It has a different feel from other family type anime like Spy x Family and Buddy Daddies. It feels more relaxing. While there is a beach episode and a bath scene, I would still say its far more wholesome than other anime. I would definitely suggest giving it a try.

A Wild Last Boss Appeared!

Lufas Maphaal who is known as the conqueror was defeated by seven heroes. She is resurrected two hundred years later by a mage trying to summon a hero to fight against the demon king. However, during her resurrection the player who created Lufas is reincarnated into her. With little knowledge about this new world Lufas makes a goal to gather her twelve subordinates known as the twelve heavenly stars.

A Wild Last Boss Appeared! was pretty fun to watch. It deviates from your typical adventurer type fantasy anime. The anime is mostly clean, however, it does have a hot springs scene. I would still suggest giving it a try if you like the fantasy/Isekai genre.

Usakame

Kurumi Sato, Nishi Nishiaraidaishi, Ayako Suzuki, and Kinako Tanaka make up the tennis team at Usakame high school. Watch the daily lives of these four as they go shopping, attend restaurants, walk through town, and prepare for upcoming tennis matches.

Usakame was pretty funny. It was made by the same author that did Teekyu, so the style and sense of humor is the same. I did laugh pretty hard at parts. It was also fun to see the main characters of Teekyu make an appearance. There is a pool scene, but I would still say that the anime remains pretty wholesome. If you enjoyed Teekyu, I would definitely suggest giving Usakame a try as well.

Ro-Kyu-Bu ~ Fast Break!

Subaru Hasegawa is a high schooler who loves basketball. However, he had given up on it after his high school team got a year suspension. Hoping to help him get back into the groove, his aunt asks him to coach a team of five 6th graders. Subaru agrees to help for three days. However, after learning that the team is about to be shut down, he agrees to help a little longer.

Ro-Kyu-Bu ~ Fast Break! was a fun anime. I don't typically watch sports anime, but I think I became open to it after watching Umamusume: Cinerella Gray. Also Ro-Kyu-Bu is written by the same author that created Angel's 3Piece! (an anime I watched when I was first getting into anime). I really enjoyed watching the team improve. While there is some fan service like a number of pool and beach episodes, as well as bath scenes, shower scenes, and changing room scenes, I still think it was worth it. You can skip it if you aren't a fan of ecchi anime, but I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?!

In this world everyone gets assigned a class that determines their future. However, when the day comes for Arel to get his class, he is classless. This doesn't break his spirit at all though. He becomes motivated to prove that effort is more effective than having skills handed to you.

Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! was fun to watch. It was kind of a blend between Adventuring anime, and magic school anime. The fights are good, but it feels like they are over too quickly in my opinion. If you like fantasy anime, I still believe it's worth giving a try.

The Way of the Househusband Part 2

Tatsu is back again with more examples of what it means to be a househusband. He runs into yakuza members from his past, both friend and foe who have taken up everyday jobs because they can't go back to their old ways. He also continues to help the locals, and make his wife's life easier with his help.

The Way of the Househusband Part 2 was pretty fun to watch. The animation and storytelling style kept the same feel as Season 1 Part 1. Their is some swearing, but if you enjoyed Season 1 Part 1 I would definitely suggest giving Part 2 a watch.

The Way of the Househusband

Tatsu was once known as The Immortal Dragon. He was a feared member of the Yakuza who would take down entire clans all by himself. However, after meeting his wife, he retired and became a househusband. While his wife is away at work, he cleans the house, makes meals, goes shopping, and helps out the locals in the area.

I gave The Way of the Househusband a try because it was short, but I really enjoyed it. The animation is a little strange at parts, but for the majority of the season it's clean. There is some swearing. The way of the househusband has no fan service, which is good. It kind of felt like a mix between Sakamoto Days and The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting. I would definitely suggest giving it a try.

High School DxD BorN Specials

Akeno and Rias fight over who can get more attention from Issei. Rias does a private tutor role play and Akeno does a wife role play. Koneko while healing Issei from his Juggernaut Drive transformation, confesses her feelings for him. Xenovia, Asia, and Irina compare their battle underwear to see who has the best. Grayfia in a drunken state washes Issei's back before he gets into the bath. Rossweisse helps tutor Issei for a make up test.

The Specials were pretty fun to watch. I wish that the episodes were longer though. Each episode was only three minutes long. While I think the specials were great, they do have a lot of fan service. So if you don't like Ecchi anime you should avoid it. But if you enjoy High School DxD, then I would totally recommend it.

High School DxD BorN: Yomigaeranai Fushichou

Ravel Phoenix comes to the Occult Club Clubroom at Kuoh High School and asks for the Gremory House's help. She tells them that Riser hasn't been himself since he dueled and lost to Issei. So she wants them to teach him fortitude. Issei takes up the task and after learning that Riser now has a fear of dragons, he takes him into the mountain where he trained with Tannin. The mountain is absolutely swarming in dragons and Tannin has accepted Issei's request to help Riser train. However, Tannin also expects Issei to train in exchange for his help. Will Riser be able to Overcome his fears?

High School DxD Born: Yomigaeranai Fushichou was pretty entertaining to watch. I wasn't expecting to see Riser again since he hasn't appeared since the finale of Season 1. However, I enjoyed it a lot. about half of the episode is the girls in a Hot Spring so it has plenty of fan service. If you want to avoid ecchi anime you can skip this one, but if you liked High School DxD Season 3 I would definitely suggest giving the OVA a watch.

One-Punch Man Season 2

One day Genos and Saitama are out shopping for hotpot ingredients for dinner. It is then they see a lizard man who is trying to torment people by licking them. He immediately runs away once the S-Class hero King shows up. Shortly after a giant robot named G-4 shows up with the intention of fighting King. However, when King goes to the bathroom Genos fights in his place. When Saitama offers to help, Genos refuses and claims that he will rank among the top 10 S-Class heroes with his own abilities. So Saitama Heads up to Kings apartment and learns that he enjoys playing video games. They then start growing as friends by playing video games together.

One-Punch Man Season 2 was just as good as Season 1. The story gets interesting once they introduce the Hero Hunter Garo. The language and visuals are both clean. If you enjoyed One-Punch Man Season 1, I would definitely suggest giving Season 2 a try.

One-Punch Man

Monsters constantly invade cities. When one shows up with incredible powers, Saitama arrives only to defeat it in one punch. Life has become boring when Saitama realized that there was no one that could beat him. Though Giants, aliens, and other monsters appeared, he couldn't get the thrill from fighting that he used to. That is until he meets Genos. Genos is a Cyborg who was impressed by Saitama's strength and asks to be his disciple. Together they take a test at the hero's association and become professional hero's. 

One-Punch Man was better than I thought it would be. It was something I have tried on three separate occasions to watch, but couldn't get past the first couple of episodes. Now that I have finished Season 1, I can say that it was definitely worth the watch. If you are a fan of anime with super heroes or people with super powers, I would definitely recommend giving it a try. 

High School DxD BorN (Season 3)

It's summer vacation and the Occult Club is headed to the Underworld to start training. However, when they arrive they immediately run into a dragon. They give it their all, but are unable to defeat it. They later learn that the situation was set up by Azazel in order for them to understand the amount of power they currently have. While they are upset at being set up, Azazel says that the fight has made him realize what each member needs to do for their training. While the Angels, Devils, and Fallen Angels have formed an alliance, there are many forces that are unhappy with this turn of events. Will the House of Gremory be able to gain enough power from their training to overcome their current limits and keep each other safe.

High School DxD Born was absolutely Hilarious. I am really enjoying watching Xenovia. Her lack of awareness at how her words can be misinterpreted made me laugh throughout the season. I also enjoyed Koneko's transformation throughout the season. Both her catgirl form and her change in demeanor. This season has a lot of fan service. There are hot springs scenes, a shower scene, and lots of panty shots. If you enjoyed the first two seasons, I would definitely suggest watching this one as well. It is the one I enjoyed the most so far.  

How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno.

Ueno is the president of the science club, and is constantly building new inventions. She uses them to get the attention of her crush Tanaka under the pretext that he is helping with an experiment. For her first invention she makes a device that can purify any substance to the point that it is drinkable. To test it out she purifies her bodily fluids. She then has the third club member Yamashita try it to prove that it actually worked. Shen then makes a machine that projects the image of space onto objects and uses it on her skirt to prevent any boys from trying to peek up her skirt.

How clumsy you are, Miss Ueno was kind of weird, but kind of fun also. It kind of reminds me of the dynamic between Lala and Rito in To Love Ru. However, Ueno's personality is the complete opposite of Lala's. I honestly felt a lot of things while watching this, such as frustration at how dense Tanaka is, intrigue at the different inventions, and uncomfortable at the show's sense of humor. Luckily every episode is only 12 minutes long so it was a quick watch. There is a lot of talk about underwear and peeping, so if you don't like fan service, you can feel free to skip this one. 

Mieruko-chan

Miko Yotsuya is just your average high school girl...that is until she wakes up with the ability to see ghosts. It turns out ghosts are everywhere. Sometimes they look like regular humans, and sometimes they look like monsters. The solution to the problem that Miko has come up with is to completely ignore them. While this works in some cases, it is not so helpful in others. Miko soon finds out that her best friend Hana actually draws ghosts to her. Avoiding them may be harder than she thought.

Mieruko-chan was enjoyable for the most part. I don't typically watch Horror anime, but I enjoyed the majority of the anime. The last two episodes were a bit too creepy for me. The story was good in my opinion. There was a shower scene, a bath scene, and multiple locker room scenes. So if you dislike fan service, you might want to skip this one. However, I do think that it is a good introduction to the Horror anime genre. So if you want to test out Horror anime, this might be a good place to start.
