Juu Juuzawa spends most of his time alone. When he isn't alone he is getting into fights, that is until he meets Ame Ochibana. Ame claims that her and Juu knew each other in a previous life. She then swears to be his knight. Believing that she is delusional Juu avoids her up until he finds his classmate murdered and Ame at the scene of the crime. They then start to look at evidence of a series of local murders that has been happening recently to find what they all have in common, so they can find who did it.
Electromagnetic Girlfriend was not at all what I was expecting. It was a lot darker and less romantic than I thought it would be. I was hoping that because of the name the two leads would become a couple, but it didn't happen. The art style and mystery element to the show kind of remind me of Nozo x Kimi. Though the plot and personalities of the characters are completely different. There is a scene where you see Ame's sister in just her bra and underwear, but besides that it stays clean. The language is clean as well. If you like horror and mystery this could be for you.
