Black Butler Season 2

One stormy day a man walks into the home of Alois Trancy. He carries a large suitcase and is treated like any visitor to a noble's estate. However, this man is less than satisfied with the service. He decides to look around where he finds an uncommon brand of Tea in the basement. It is there that Alois Trancy learns that the man is Sebastian Michaelis, the demon contracted to Ciel Phantomhive. In the commotion the suitcase opens, and inside is the body of Ciel Phantomhive.

Black Butler Season 2 was not as great as Season 1. Alois Trancy was annoying for the majority of the season. While the ending was unsatisfying to me, the decision makes sense if they wanted to continue the story. The season is clean visually, but there is a lot of scenes where people are mistreated. Alois Trancy is what you might call a scumbag. If you liked the first season of Black Butler feel free to give the second season a try.

Black Butler: His Butler, Performer

Ciel hires an acting troupe to perform hamlit for a group of orphans. However, when the actors are unable to make it to England, Ciel and his friends end up playing the parts of the different characters with Sebastian's help. Will Ciel be able to satisfy the crowd with only three days to prepare?

I liked Black Butler: His Butler, Performer more than I thought I would. Hamlet bears a lot of similarity to Ciel's own life which made the play interesting to watch. If you enjoyed the first season, I would suggest giving this special episode a try.

Black Butler

Ciel Phantomhive is a noble in England commonly known as "The Queen's Guard Dog." After His parents were burned in a fire he made a contract with a Demon. That Demon became Ciel's Butler, Sebastian Michaelis. Now Ciel Seeks revenge on those who wronged him and he'll use any means necessary to achieve his goals.

Black Butler was a good anime. The characters were all lovable, but my favorite has to be Mey-rin. While the season is mostly filler episodes, none of them felt out of place. I read the first volume of the manga to see if I would be interested or not, and the anime did not disappoint. The characters all dress modestly and the anime is clean. If you like mystery anime with supernatural elements I would suggest giving it a try.

Hell’s Paradise

Gabimaru the Hollow is an Assassin for the Iwagakure Clan. After breaking the rules and trying to leave his village he is set to be executed. However, his executioner tells him that he has a choice to either die or go to an island and retrieve the elixir of life. If he accomplishes this he will receive a pardon from the Shogunate. Unfortunately, no one has returned alive from the island, except a single man who was consumed by flowers. Will Gabimaru be able to make it back alive?

Hell's Paradise was a lot weirder than I was expecting it to be. It has the feel of a death game anime, but it also feels different in a way. The anime was mostly clean though there were parts where you see the residents of the island undressed. Overall, it was interesting to watch. If you like Death Game type anime's I would suggest giving Hell's Paradise a try.

Lycoris Recoil -Friends are thieves of time.-

While Takina and Chisato plan a trip to Hawaii, they get a call from Headquarters requesting their help to capture a criminal. However, they don't have to look because the next thing they know that very same criminal bursts into Cafe Lycoreco demanding they hand over all the store's money. With Chisato and Takina's Skills they capture the man with ease.

Lycoris Recoil -Friends are thieves of time.- is a series of shorts about Takina, Chisato, and the other main characters of Lycoris Recoil. It was pretty fun to watch. Though I enjoyed the series when it came out, so I knew that it would be fun. If you enjoyed Lycoris Recoil, I would suggest giving the shorts a try. If you haven't seen it and enjoy action anime, I would suggest giving the original series a try as well.

The Elusive Samurai

Tokiyuki Hojo is the heir to the Hojo Clan and Kamakura Shogunate. When one of his fathers soldiers, Takauji Ashikaga betrays the clan and joins the emperor the Kamakura Shogunate is wiped out with the exception of Tokiyuki who is taken in by a man named Yorishige Suwa who is in charge of the Suwa Territory. Yorishige tells Tokiyuki that one day he will become a hero and take back the kamakura Shogunate. Tokiyuki doesn't fully believe him, but he isn't willing to die yet either. So Tokiyuki moves to the Suwa Grand Shrine where he starts his journey of preparing to take back his home.

The Elusive Samurai was a lot better than I was expecting it to be. I don't typically watch anime that involve Samurai, but I actually enjoyed it. All of the characters were interesting in my opinion. I especially liked Shizuku, though she doesn't get as much screen time as the other characters. The language was clean, as were the visuals. If you enjoy action anime, I would definitely suggest giving this one a try.

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!

Kazuhiko Nukumizu claims to have never had any friends, and typically spends his time alone. However, when he sees a girl named Anna Yanami get rejected after confessing her feelings he approaches her and listens while she vents about how upset she is all while eating tons of food at a restaurant. While he typically would have left and forgotten about the whole thing, Anna forgets her wallet and has Kazuhiko buy everything. He expects her to pay him back, but Anna proposes rather than just handing him money, she makes him lunches everyday until she's paid back all the money she owes him.

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroine! was not at all what I expected. I was expecting a good romance anime. However, rather than love and acceptance being at the core of the anime, its more about rejection which should have been obvious to me from the title. However, I expected a cute romance and was slapped in the face with reality in anime form. I was hoping that a new romance would start with Kazuhiko and one of the girls. But all of the girls are still stuck on their old crushes even after getting rejected. So Kazuhiko's presence in the anime is essentially meaningless. I don't like how the girls mistreat him, but at the same time I don't like him as a character either. There were good moments throughout the anime, but most of it was just disappointing. Its like going to eat an apple but once you bite into it the inside is completely dry and flavorless. There is a beach episode and a bath scene, but most of it remains visually clean. You can try it if you like, but don't expect too much.

Teekyuu Season 9

Tomarin talks about her daily life. Nasuno's birthday is coming up and Kanae, Marimo, and Yuri want to celebrate it. However, they don't know what kind of gifts rich people enjoy. Kanae wants to turn the tennis club into an idol group. To celebrate the 100th episode of Teekyuu the characters are ranked with the exception of Kanae who acts as the announcer.

Teekyuu Season 9 was pretty good. Surprisingly season 9 had both an intro and an outro. This cut down the time of the actual episode but each episode didn't actually seem all that shorter. Everyone dressed modestly for Season 9 despite it having the characters in swimsuits for the seasons artwork. If you enjoy short comedy anime I would suggest giving Teekyuu a try.

Teekyuu Season 8

Udonko needs help with ideas that will help her get to nationals in the upcoming newspaper competition. So she consults the tennis club to see what they think. The Tennis club decides to take a break and go to the beach. However after getting on a boat to go farther into the water, Marimo, Kanae, Yuri, and Nasuno all get shipwrecked and each ends up in a different location.

Teekyuu Season 8 was just as good as the previous seasons. Something interesting about this season is you get to see how Kanae, Nasuno, and Marimo first met. I understand why they kept it for later in the series, since the show starts out with Yuri entering the tennis club who is a year younger than Nasuno, Marimo, and Kanae. The season stays mostly clean, with the exception of panty shots in one episode and Marimo undressed for half a second in another episode. If you have liked it so far than keep on going, and if you haven't started it yet, I would suggest giving it a try.

Teekyuu Season 7

Yuri walks outside to see a big hole in the ground. Kanae calls out to her and Yuri sees Kanae eating ramen. Kanae tells Yuri that she has switched everyone from the tennis club to the well-digging club. After trying it out, Yuri finds that she really enjoys digging holes and wants to make it to nationals with Kanae-senpai.

Teekyuu Season 7 was pretty fun to watch. It had a few episodes which made me really laugh. The jokes in this anime are absolutely fantastic. If you are looking for something funny to watch that's only a few minutes long, I would definitely suggest giving Teekyu a try.

Teekyuu Season 6

Nasuno, Kanae and Marimo all have Physical Education on a cold snowy day. They hear they are doing exercises and rather than doing traditional ones, they decide to make up some of their own. Kanae needs a new smartphone after her current one becomes too heavy. Valentines day is just around the corner and Udonko Kondo invites yuri to make chocolates with her. However, they end up making curry instead.

Teekyuu Season 6 was funny and chaotic like the other seasons of Teekyuu. This season was actually surprisingly wholesome. Though After not watching Teekyuu for so long I've lost my ability to read at the speed they talk so I paused it a lot more this time. It was fun to watch though, and I would suggest it if you enjoy the comedy anime genre.

Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time

Rumi Yokoi sits next to Toshinari Seki who never seems to pay attention in class. In fact he spends all his time playing with different games and toys. Though the way he plays is unconventional and constantly grabs Rumi's attention. Though the one that tends to get in trouble is not Toshinari for messing around, but Rumi for being distracted in class.

Tonari no Seki-Kun: The master of Killing time isn't great being binged. I enjoyed it more watching a couple episodes at a time. While the episodes are only a few minutes long each one is fun and unique. The entire season remains clean both visually and verbally. If you are looking for something to watch between shows, Tonari no Seki-Kun is a great option.

The Duke of Death and His Maid Season 3

The Duke learns that there is a way to break his curse. However, it involves the death of the witch who cast it on him. Unwilling to let anybody die for his sake, the duke tries to convince the Wizard Nico to try and talk things out with Sade and become friends rather than enemies. Before they can put their plan into action, preparations need to be made so that the risk of death is minimized. Will the duke be able to break his curse and live happily ever after?

The Duke of Death and His Maid Season 3 was super good. I really enjoyed this series. The anime was able to end in a satisfying way that didn't leave any questions unanswered. I really enjoyed the character Keto. She gives the anime a fun feeling in my opinion. The anime remains mostly clean, though there is a part where you see Alice's back without any clothes. If you enjoy the romance genre, I think that The Duke of Death and His Maid is worth giving a try.

Black Butler: Book of Circus (Season 3)

When the queen sends Ciel a letter notifying him about a string of kidnappings, she asks him to investigate. The first thing they notice is ...
