Umamusume: Cinderella Gray

Belno Light is a new student at Kasamatsu Tracen Academy. Kasamatsu Academy is known for training Horse Girls or Umamusume for regional races. While there are national races, no umamusume from Kasamatsu has ever had the skill to make it there. Belno is convinced that she is going to work hard and do well in the races. Then she meets Oguri Cap, an umamusume who stands out in more ways than one. Rather than showing up to class in the schools uniform, she shows up in a jersey covered in dirt. This along with her attitude that seems almost absentminded gets her new classmates attention. The Other Umamusume try and bully her by kicking her out of her room, and untying her shoelaces before a race to make Oguri have a late start. However, she still manages to make second place in her first race in Kasamatsu. This gets the attention of Jo Kitahara who is a regional trainer. He takes both Oguri Cap and Belno Light, and trains them to participate in his dream of winning the Tokai Derby.

Umamusume: Cinderella Gray was way better than I was expecting. I wasn't planning on watching this originally, but I decided to jump in after seeing a post on Instagram threads about it. Cinderella Gray is a wholesome story with clean language, and good visuals. If you are into sports type anime, I would definitely suggest giving it a try.

High School DxD New Episode 13

Asia goes after a monster, and after it steals her underwear the house of Gremory appears to take it down, only to be beaten to the punch by Irina. Irina tells everyone that she is after the master of the monster. The group then learns that the one behind the attacks is the great sage. They arrive to his location and learn that he was actually a previous member of the church which is part of why Irina was sent to take him down. The great sage then uses his magic to turn himself into underwear so that he can achieve his dream of being worn by women. However, his spell goes out of control. Will Irina and everyone else be able to take him down?

This OVA kind of reminded me of Heaven's Lost Property. It was just what you would expect from a High School DxD OVA. There was an excessive amount of fan service. This episode doesn't appear to be important to the story, so its fine to skip it if you want. But it might be fun if you have enjoyed both season 1 & season 2 of High School DxD so far.

High School DxD NEW (Season 2)

After the fight with Riser and Issei breaking off Rias's wedding, his power remains out of control. While Asia was able to heal his body somewhat, he still needs Akeno to help him get his power under control. Because the room for the Occult club is being cleaned, the group's meeting is held at Issei's house. After his mom brings photo books of Issei as a child, Yuuto sees a picture of Issei next to a Holy Sword, a weapon that is lethal to demons. After that Yuuto starts spacing out more and more which makes a mission to take down a stray demon even harder. Yuuto eventually leaves the house of Gremory, but Issei won't let him get away without learning the full story and doing his best to resolve the problem troubling Yuuto.

High School DxD New was pretty fun to watch. I'm actually enjoying it more than I thought I would. It reminds me of a lot of different anime's. The transformations remind me of Date A Live, The story reminds me of Testament of Sister new devil, and the fan service feels similar to To Love Ru. There was a lot of bath scenes, as well as a pool scene. If you liked Season 1 I would definitely suggest giving Season 2 a try.

High School DxD Specials

The Occult Research Club decides to take a short trip to the beach. Akeno helps Issei train both mentally and magically. Meanwhile Koneko drinks tea that Rias put a spell on, which changes her personality. Issei learns how to use his new dress-break ability and is eager to give Akeno and Rias a demonstration. After losing a competition the Student Council makes Udon for the Occult Research Club. Asia Wants to act more like a demon after seeing the way Issei acts at school. However, her good nature prevents her from making any drastic changes.

These Specials aren't part of the main story, but they were fun to watch. I especially enjoyed Koneko adopting a perverted personality which contradicts her usual serious attitude. theres fan service in every episode such as swimsuits, a shower scene, panty shots, and exploding clothes. But its kind of expected not just because its High School DxD, but because it's a Special. OVA's and Specials typically have fan service even for non ecchi shows. If you enjoyed Season 1 you might give the season 1 specials a try.

High School DxD OVA

Issei, Koneko, Yuuto, Akeno, Asia, and Rias are all asked to take down a stray Demon. Once they corner him he gives up without a fight. However, before he gets sent back to the Demon Realm, he says that all of his preparations have been completed. Issei finds out the next day that girls from his school have been mysteriously disappearing. They then find out that a chimera has been set loose and is sucking the life force out of all the girls that have disappeared. With all the power that its gained, will the group be able to take it down?

High School DxD OVA was pretty fun to watch. The fights kind of remind me of Date A Live. Though because there were only two episodes you don't really get to see Issei go all out, like he does in Season 1. There was plenty of fan service mainly in the form of tentacles this time. If you enjoyed High School DxD Season 1 you might enjoy the OVA as well. 

Senpai is an Otokonoko Movie: Sunshine After the Rain

Saki Aoi is preparing for exams, so she asks Makoto and Ryuuji for help. Meanwhile both her dad and her mom ask her to stay with them. Unfortunately both know that their circumstances would make it hard to move. Saki's dad lives in America and Saki's mom has only just sprung back into her life. Can Saki untangle her thoughts and feelings and do what she feels to be right?

I really liked the movie because it fixed all of the things that I wish had been done in Season 1. It also didn't feel totally boring. The movie was wholesome. There was no swearing and no fan service. I also forgot how funny Saki is and how enjoyable she is to watch. She was the reason that I didn't drop the series. So to have the movie focus on her was what really saved it in my opinion. If you have watched Senpai is an Otokonoko Season 1, I would definitely suggest giving the movie a try. 

High School DxD

Issei Hyodo was your average high school student who dreamed of having a harem. While he attends an academy that had previously been only for girls but recently turned coed the majority of the girls knew about his nature and did their best to avoid him and his friends. One day a girl named Yuma asks to be his girlfriend. He goes on a date and after they are done she stabs him through the chest. On the verge of death he summons Rias Gremory, a high class devil, and president of the academy's occult research club. She decides to save him and make him her servant turning him into a devil. Now Issei must learn to control his new powers as angels, fallen angels, and devils seek his life.  

High School DXD was actually a lot better than I was expecting. While it is more ecchi than other shows it had far less fan service than people make it seem like. If you compare it to things like redo of healer, testament of sister new devil, to love ru, etc. It's almost wholesome by comparison. There is a lot of panty shots and girls clothes randomly exploding, but I enjoyed the story. I know this isn't for everyone but if you are a fan of the ecchi genre it might be worth a try.

Cooking with Valkyries Season 2

To celebrate the upcoming spring, Sakura makes Sakura Sake which takes two months to complete so it needs to be started in the winter to be ready by the time the Sakura flowers bloom. She then shares it with Kallen as they view the sakura petals fall.

Cooking with Valkyries Season 2 was okay. The food looked good, but there wasn't much of a story. If you want something like that I would suggest watching Campfire Cooking in Another World or Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant. The fun thing about Cooking with Valkyries is they leave you the recipe for the food they make at the end of each episode. The entire anime is clean both in language and visually. If you are a fan of cooking anime, it may be worth a try.

Saga of Tanya the Evil: Operation Desert Pasta

While stationed in the desert, the 203rd Aerial Mage Battalion is sent a large shipment of noodles as a gift from strategic headquarters. However, no water, sauce or spices are provided along with it. Tanya initiates Operation Desert Pasta where her Battalion raids the supplies of different encampments of the enemy to create the best meal they possibly can.

While this technically takes place before the movie it was listed after on Crunchyroll. Though it clears up what Tanya and her group were doing at the beginning of the movie. There is a swear word here and there, but all the characters dress modestly. If you like the rest of the series I would suggest giving this special episode a watch. 

Saga of Tanya the Evil - the Movie -

Tanya Degurechaff and the other members of the 203rd Aerial Mage Battalion have just finished their battle in the desert where they destroyed the enemies headquarters. After this she believes that her and her battalion will get time off, however, they are immediately sent to a snowy area in the North. in an attempt to distract the enemy and have them recall their soldiers she attacks Russia's capital city moscow. Rather than completely destroying it her team hits all of the areas that hold politcal significance. Unfortunately this act only made more enemies for the empire. Will Tanya be able to survive?

Saga of Tanya the Evil -The Movie- was very interesting to me. I'm glad that it was a continuation of the story, rather than one of those movies that just summarizes what happened in season 1. If you enjoyed The Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 1, I would definitely suggest giving the movie a try as well. 

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Season 2

LLENN is back doing her third Squad Jam. This time she is teaming up with Pitohui rather than fighting against her. The new course has some elements that completely change the game such as the board slowly shrinking by holding it on an island that is being consumed by the water. This forces the teams to move if they don't want to die. Though from the start there are mysteries and hidden rules that won't be revealed till the end. Will LLENN and her friends be able to Survive?

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Season 2 was way better than I was expecting. I liked how they didn't focus on just LLENN's team and showed how things were going for the other teams as well. There are a few scenes where you see the main Goushi Asougi shirtless, as well as some swearing here and there. However, I would definitely still suggest it, especially if you enjoyed season 1.
