I Parry Everything

Noor has always dreamed of being an adventurer ever since he was a child. When his mom suddenly dies he decides to fulfill his dream. After visiting the adventurers guild who turned him away he went to six different training locations to became a swordsman, warrior, hunter, thief, magician and Cleric. However after spending three months at each training location he is turned away and told that their class isn't a good fit for him and he should go elsewhere. So he goes into the mountain and trains everyday for fourteen years. After that he returns to the adventurers guild and is made an F-Rank adventurer. While F-Rank's aren't allowed to take monster requests this doesn't bother Noor at all. He is satisfied doing work like construction and cleanup around the city. It isn't until he hears a girl screaming in a nearby cave and he goes to save her that his adventure truly starts.

I Parry Everything was a cool and relaxing anime. It moves at a good pace and the story is interesting. The language is clean and the characters all dress modestly. If you are looking for a good adventure anime you should give I Parry Everything a try.

Lucky☆Star

Konata, Tsukasa, Kagami, and Miyuki spend their days doing anything fun they can think of. When they are not at a festival or school event they each have their own hobbies. konata spends her time watching anime, and gaming. Tsukasa likes to spend her time reading manga. While Kagami also likes to read, she reads books that will further increase her knowlege of subjects she believes will be useful. Konata often takes advantage of that by copying her homework rather than doing it herself. While Miyuki seems to spend her time with her mom, she also seems to be well informed and is someone Konata goes to when she has questions. Together they find answers to meaningless and meaningful questions alike as they live their high school life to the fullest.

Lucky Star is honestly pretty hard to describe. The first few episodes were pretty hard to get into at first. I think Konata asking the same question over and over bothered me. I think the show became more interesting once the characters started going to different events like Comiket, school festivals, as well as festivals put on by the city. The langauge is clean. The visuals stay pretty clean as well though there is a bath scene or two. Overall, if you like slice of life anime you can give it a try.

Saint Cecilia & Pastor Lawrence

Saint Cecilia acts and communicates perfectly to everyone in the village who visits the church. However, her true self comes out when her and Pastor Lawrence are alone. She lazes around and relies on him to do the housework. But as she spends more time outside she begins to let the act drop and just be herself. The fact that she loves the Pastor is clear for anyone to see. Both Cecilia and Lawrence are happy with the way their life is. Though deep down Cecilia wants more from their relationship. So, when a friend of Lawrence's named Abel shows up, Cecilia opens up to him about her feelings for Lawrence, and Abel decides to try and get Cecilia & Lawrence to do things that will make them become closer.

Saint Cecilia & Pastor Lawrence is another romance where the Main Character is as dense as a brick. However, it didn't bother me because even though Lawrence is unaware of Cecilia's romantic feelings for him, he still treats her right. Oftentimes, the dense main character will either ignore the girl who likes him or become mean at times. So the dynamic between these two was very refreshing for me. While I do wish it had a better ending, the ending was still good. The anime stays wholesome for the most part. There is a bath scene but it doesn't distract you from the story. The Language also remains clean which I really enjoyed. I think if you like wholesome romance anime you should give this one a try.

Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits-

Aoi Tsubaki has always been able to see Ayakashi. After her Mother left her she was raised by her grandpa Shiro Tsubaki. Shiro had the power to travel to the hidden realm where the Ayakashi live. It is there that he became well known and accrued massive debt. To settle the matter he offered up his granddaughter Aoi to be the wife of an Ayakashi known as the Ogre God. Once Aoi had grown up the Ogre God came for her and brought her to the hidden realm. Refusing to marry him, Aoi claimed that she could find another way to pay off her grandfather's debt. While nobody seemed willing to accept her at first the nine tailed fox Ginji claimed that there was a place nearby where no matter what kind of business was there it always seemed to fail. It was then that Aoi decided to turn it into her own restaurant.

I didn't have too high of expectations when I started to watch Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits-, however, the more I watched the more I enjoyed it. While it is another restaurant anime, it feels different from others. While it takes place in another world, it doesn't follow the common tropes you see in fantasy anime. There are no humans in this world nor are there the magical races you typically see in fantasy such as dwarves & elves. All of the beings being Ayakashi give Kakuriyo a unique feel that made me want to see what will happen next. While there is a hot springs and multiple bath scenes, the majority of it stays clean. If you are looking for a unique supernatural anime I would give this one a try.

Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan Season 2

Dokuro-chan is back along with Sabito, Zakuro, and Sakura. Currently Sakura and Dokuro's class is planning a trip into the forest so they can paint pictures of nature. However, after Sakura wants to play a prank on Dokuro-chan he falls into the river instead. After getting out he tries to spend the day with Shizuki but is stopped by Dokuro and Minami. Will Sakura ever get together with Shizuki?

Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan Season 2 was somewhat better than season 1. It felt like there was less violence. Also assassins aren't after Sakura anymore. So he is now living with both Dokuro and Zakuro now. However, something that is worse is the fan service. The bath scene is on the level of kiss x sis. There is also a scene where Dokuro undresses to warm up Sakura after he passes out. Overall, I would suggest skipping it if you are uncomfortable with the ecchi genre.

Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan

Sakura Kusukabe is your typical middle schooler. However unlike most middle schoolers he is living with an angel named Dokuro-chan. Unlike most angels Dokuro has a habit of killing Sakura and then reviving him. She also tries to stop him from achieving academic success. After the organization from the future that Dokuro-chan comes from sends an assassin to kill Sakura, he finally learns why. Twenty years in the future Sakura figures out how to give people immortality. In order to prevent that from happening all the angels are determined to kill Sakura so that that future never comes to fruition. Will Sakura make it out of this alive?

Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan is the most chaotic anime I have seen. I originally gave this a try because it was only a few episodes long. However, after watching it, there are some things that I have a problem with. First of all is the gore. I don't mind some amount of blood when watching anime, but this one had too much. I was also unsatisfied with the art style. However, since it was made in 2005 this was typically the art style used at the time which you can see in anime's that were made in a similar time frame like Clannad. There were also a number of scenes with panty shots, see through shirts from getting wet, as well as scenes where Dokuro is seen with only a towel on. The language stays clean though. Overall, it isn't one that I would suggest. However, I did enjoy the test of courage scene. Seeing Dokuro and Sakura holding hands without any violence was nice.

Seton Academy: Join the Pack!

On Jin's first day at Seton Academy he runs into a wolf named Ranka. While Ranka has spent most of her time alone she feels like she can trust Jin and asks him to join her pack. The only thing is Jin hates all animals. He is very unsatisfied with his situation until he meets Hitomi Hino the only other human at Seton Academy. Though talking with her becomes difficult because Ranka wants to spend all her time with Jin and is willing to fight others if it can mean the two of them can stick together. After Jin sees Ranka mistreated by a zebra he saves her and agrees to be part of her pack. Together Hitomi, Jin and Ranka create the cooking club where different species gather and become friends.

Seton Academy was a pretty interesting anime. It's definitely different from your typical high school romance anime. Something that was cool about Seton Academy is the fun facts about different animals you learn. The downside for some is that there are a lot of fan service scenes. There's a pool scene, a bath scene, hot springs scenes, as well as the student council president who throws off her clothes because she is a naked mole rat. If you want to see a unique anime where humans and animals both attend school, give it a try.

The Maid I Hired Recently is Mysterious

After Yuuri loses his parents in a car crash, he can't afford to keep any of the staff in his mansion and decides to live alone. Not long after he sent everyone away a girl shows up asking to be his maid. The funny thing is she doesn't want any money, only a place to live and work. Despite how happy she seems to be Yuuri can't help but be suspicious of her. Why did she come to the mansion? Why does he constantly think about her? And how are her eyes so beautiful? Yuuri is convinced that she must be some kind of sorceress. Will he be able to find out the secrets that she has been keeping?

The Maid I Hired Recently is Mysterious is slow at first, but it gets better the more you watch. I at least thought it was a better romance than The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague. The language remains clean throughout the series, which is good. There were two bath scenes, and Lilith's maid uniform shows cleavage. Besides that the anime remains clean and wholesome. If you want a cute romance, I would give this one a try.

The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague

Its Mio Fuyutsuki's first day at a new job, and on her way to work she comes across a peculiar sight. A man's feet are frozen in blocks of ice despite being in the sun. After talking with him a little bit she learns that his name is Himuro and he is a descendant of a snow woman. So the blocks of ice holding him in place are created from the nervousness at getting his first job as well. After they go their separate ways Himuro arrives at his workplace and learns that he is not only in the same department but actually desk mates with Fuyutski. Will their relationship stay the same or will it blossom into something more?

The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague was an interesting romance. It kind of reminded me of Interviews with Monster Girls because of the whole supernatural beings in the real world part of the story. The romance felt too slow moving to me. Its like they do things a couple would do, but they're not a couple. While it isn't as bad as Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included, it didn't live up to my expectations. I don't know if that is because it was a workplace romance rather than a high school romance or not. However, there were some enjoyable parts. I think the supernatural element to the show is probably what saved it. Anyway, if you don't like high school romances and would like to watch an adult romance anime, this one might be worth trying.

Train to the End of the World

After a girl arrives in Ikebukuro, she is greeted by a man surrounded by a huge crowd. He tells her that he is launching the newest technology available, 7G. However, when she presses the button, everything in the world changes. Meanwhile in Agano, the adult residents have all been turned into various animals. Not only that but the kids will turn into animals as well when they reach adulthood. High Schooler Shizuru Chikura is completely unconcerned by it. What is really on her mind is what has happened to her missing friend Yoka. One day she gets ahold of a newspaper and sees a picture of Yoka in Ikebukuro. Shizuru then learns how to drive a train by a resident in Agano who despite being an adult hasn't turned into an animal. right as she is about to take off on her journey she is joined by Yoka's dog Pochi, along with her school friends Reimi, Akira, and Nadeshiko. With the world changed so much, will they actually reach their destination safely?

Train to the End of the World is probably the craziest anime I have seen so far. However, unlike the other weird anime's I've seen this anime's weirdness is totally intentional. It was slow starting out but after awhile it gets really good. The ending was absolutely amazing. Not only was it entertaining but it was satisfying as well. The anime is clean for the most part. There is a river scene, but besides that everybody dresses modestly. The language stays clean as well. If you want to experience an anime that will surprise you each episode this is the one to watch.

Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san

Honda-san works at a Bookstore where he gets all kinds of customers. While he mainly works with foreign comics, the store has every type of book you can imagine. Not only does he talk about what its like to deal with customers, but also the relationships that you have to have professionally with people such as publishers, authors, wholesalers, etc. You also get a glimpse into what type of people work at bookstores. Each employee has a unique personality, but all of them are brought together through their love of books.

Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san isn't the most interesting anime you will watch, however it does have a unique feel. I feel like even among anime's where the characters work, Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san surpasses them in the feeling it gives you as if you were there right along with them. So while the anime was slow paced and didn't really have a story besides the day to day things that happen at a bookstore, it was still good.  While there isn't anything visually inappropriate in it, it does talk about BL Manga, and the Ecchi genre. It does swear a few times, but the language stays clean for the most part. Overall, if you like Slice of Life anime it might be worth a try.
